Harvest Full Moon

We’re welcoming the Harvest Full Moon today and you’re probably already feeling its big energy. While all full moon cycles are healing and impactful, this one felt very prescient. I wanted to send you a message with some tips to help you move through this energy this weekend which will also bring the beginning of a new month on Sunday. We’re moving through some really big shifts in the next few days so I hope you will find some messages below that will support you and offer you some additional comfort this weekend.

When we think about the harvest season, you may think about bringing in the literal fruits of your labor that you planted in the spring and summer seasons. For many, this is absolutely the case and if you’ve planted a physical garden, you’ve probably been very busy bringing in and putting up your harvest for the winter. This is also a time to think about the other aspects you’ve sewn in the Spring and Summer seasons that are coming in during this time of harvest. This is a powerful time to look back over your journal entries, goals, or themes that you’ve been working on since the beginning of Spring, back in March. Maybe you don’t have a physical record of your intentions but you’ve been holding them close to your heart for safe keeping. In any ways that you’ve been keeping track of your dreams, intentions, or goals during this time, taking some time to reflect on what has shifted, what has come through for you, what is still shifting, and what has cleared is a powerful way to gain insight into your personal harvest season. Maybe you’ll find some blessings that you weren’t expecting when you look back, and maybe you’ll find that there are things that you feel guided to let go as we continue to move through this Autumn season.

Highly sensitive people (like yourself) may experience an increased sensitivity during the Full Moon cycle and may also experience Full Moon symptoms. The Full Moon cycle gives us an opportunity to release, rest, and heal. There aren’t any right ways to do this, in fact, honoring the process that matches your rhythm will be the best way for you to move through the energy. I’ve included some things below that may offer you additional support, please see this list as inspiration or a jumping off point for you to curate a support system that works best for you.

  • Drink More Water: You may notice that you feel parched or that you need more water than usual at this time.

  • Get Into Water: You can take a Bath or Shower or get into your Hot Tub, or go for a Swim. Being in water can help your body to decompress and relax. You can also add Epsom or sea salt to your bath if you feel guided.

  • Be Near Water: Take a walk next to the beach, creek, or lake. Listening to the sound of water helps your body decompress and relax. You can listen to sound files of water and you’ll notice your body automatically releasing stress. You don’t have to physically go to a water source if that’s not possible for you at this time.

  • Slow Down (to the best of your ability) Even if this means winding down a bit earlier than usual, or taking one thing off your list.

  • Naps: Even if you aren’t a napper, if you feel like you need to take a nap and you can, please take a nap.

  • Eat Gentle Foods: Some people experience sensitivity to foods at this time and feel guided to eat gentle foods and drink gentle beverages. Listen to your body and do what feels right for you.

  • Avoid Intense Places (to the best of your ability) This may not be the very best time for you to go to Costco, the DMV, or places where there are lots of people and lots of things happening everywhere.

  • Avoid Intense People (to the best of your ability) Give yourself permission to say no to people who drain your energy and drain your time.

  • Say Yes to Gentle Environments and Gentle Sounds in your Home (to the best of your ability) Listening to music or watching something that is soothing or supportive for you can be very helpful at this time. You may feel guided to take a little break from news and social media feeds so you can let down and truly rest.

  • Gentle Clothes: Some highly sensitive people find their already sensitive skin becomes even more sensitive at this time. You may want to wear super soft fabrics, and use your favorite blanket, and softest sheets. Some people experience a low grade pain under their skin at this time, so focus on cozy, soft, and loose clothing if you experience this symptom.

  • Bloating, Headaches, Low Grade Fever, and Body Aches: If you experience any of these symptoms during the full moon cycle, you may want to try to rest, get as much sleep as you can, and try to be very good to yourself. You may find that drinking extra water can help to alleviate some of the symptoms. These symptoms usually shift pretty quickly but if they persist, contact your health care professional.

  • Sleep Disturbances: Some sensitive souls find they experience insomnia or other sleep disturbances during the Full Moon cycle. You may want to set up your sleeping space for success by removing devices including tv’s, phones, tablets etc so you can remove blue light from your space. You may also want to avoid harsh or intense news stories, shows, or movies before sleeping. You may want to listen to a guided meditation, set up your diffuser, or read from a physical book to help you wind down for sleeping.

  • Say Yes to Things that Bring You Comfort and Joy: Focusing on taking good care of yourself, resting when you’re guided, and doing things that feel uplifting, joyful, and supportive are important at this time.

I hope this will give you some support and inspiration as to how you can best honor yourself during this Harvest Full Moon cycle. I encourage you to take a little time to look over your own personal harvest for this year as well as taking good care of yourself during this prescient Full Moon cycle. I’m wishing you a very gentle, restorative, and positive Full Moon experience.

As always, I’m sending you love and support from my teeny tiny corner of the world straight to you!
With love and gratitude,
Kristy~xoxo

Full Moon Must Have's

full moon (2019_01_30 23_54_58 UTC).jpg

Full Moon Must Have’s

If you’re a highly sensitive person, you may find that you’re impacted by the cycle of the full moon.

If you find that you experience physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual shifts during the full moon, then you’re not alone.

Below you’ll find some common Full Moon Symptoms.

These symptoms can show up a few days before the full moon, the day of the full moon cycle, and continue for a few days following the full moon as well; leading to around 7 days of potential symptoms and full moon experiences.

 Common Full Moon Symptoms:

  • I find that Empath’s, HSP’s, and Intuitives experience these symptoms more than those who don’t identify as sensitive.

  1. Slight Fever

  2. Headache

  3. Achy or Highly Sensitive Skin

  4. Increased Sensitivity to Light, Sound, and Crowds

  5. Pressure in the Head and or Body

  6. Feeling Lethargic or in Slow Motion

  7. Feeling Foggy or Find it Hard to Focus

  8. Bloating

  9. Nausea

  10. Clumsiness

  11. Intense Emotions and or Deep Feelings

  12. Find Old Issues Resurfacing for Another Layer of Healing or Clearing

  13. Need to be Alone or to be Quiet

  14. Need More Sleep than Usual, Including Naps

  15. Exhaustion

  16. Insomnia

  17. Dehydration

  18. Upset or Sensitive Stomach

  19. Food Cravings

Here are My Must Have’s For This Time:

Please just use this little list as a jumping off place for you to create your must have list or your own Full Moon Kit so you can take good care of yourself during this cycle. I’ve found that once Highly Sensitive People like yourself understand that these symptoms are real, they aren’t imagining it, and they’re connected to a 28 day moon cycle; there’s a feeling of relief. I’ve also found that by understanding how to work with this cycle, sensitive souls can experience a gentler full moon cycle and even glean positives and productive experiences during this time.

Extra Water:

Drinking more water than usual is really important to help with any clearing or releasing you may do during this time. It also helps with bloating or physical discomfort that can show up for you, including dehydration headaches. If you have trouble remembering to drink water when you’re cold like me, you may want to place it in several places where you can easily access it throughout the day.

Epsom Salt + Sea Salt:

More water again, if you have access to a bath tub, I would encourage you to take a salt bath daily during the seven days of the moon cycle. This is one of my favorite ways to add comfort during this time, I find it really helps me physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. It can help reduce swelling, tense muscles, and support you in releasing anything that’s trying to move on during this time. It’s also very soothing and relaxing. If you have trouble sleeping during this time, an evening salt bath can help you to relax.

If you don’t have a tub or aren’t a bath person, you can do a gentle salt scrub in the shower to help your muscles and clearing process. Be gentle during this process, no need to scrub really hard, you’re just trying to receive support from the salts, not scrape away your top layer of skin.

Comfortable Clothing + Accessories:

I’m one of the people who has a significant skin reaction and increased skin sensitivity during the full moon. I only wear the softest clothing I have during this time, including cozy socks, and layering pieces. When I’m home, I exclusively wear cozy house clothes, fuzzy socks, and use my favorite and softest blanket. I even change my sheets to my favorite set during this cycle because my skin goes to a whole other level of sensitive.

Heat Pad:

Sometimes, the body aches will be uncomfortable for me so I’ll use my favorite heating pad to help soothe any aches, or weird cold bones that can show up for me during this time. This can also help me rest and sleep if I’m experiencing insomnia too.

Favorite Movies + Favorite Snacks:

I like to have my favorite soul soothing movies and snacks on hand in case I feel like I want to slip into another world as part of my full moon self care routine. (Hogwarts Express, here I come.) Food Cravings are a common symptom that can show up and I like to have a few of my favorites available so I can enjoy them if I feel the craving coming on…you’ll find popcorn, salt and vinegar potato chips, and vegan oatmeal and chocolate chip cookies in my snack pack.

Journal:

I like to be able to write down my thoughts and feelings when those big emotional waves show up for me. I like to look back to see what I’m working through and how it shifts and changes and works out throughout the course of the year.

Essential Oils:

I’m a big oil lover, and if you ever come over to my home or to my professional office, you’ll be greeted by oils. It’s really hard for me to choose a favorite oil, which is a question I get often. I don’t even know if it’s possible to choose just one, so I’ll give you my favorite full moon oil list so you can see which ones are your favorite.

Lavender: It really is the swiss army knife of the oil world and it’s so great for calm, soothing, ang healing support. Drop a few drops in your salt bath for all the calming vibes. Diffuse when you need extra emotional support or add a drop to your favorite carrier oil and rub over your heart chakra for emotional soothing.

Bergamot: Bright, uplifting but also simultaneously soothing, supportive, and calming. This one is so great for so many things plus it’s a member of the citrus family and pairs beautifully with so many oils….for instance like Lavender.

Frankincense: I mean, it’s such a powerhouse and all time favorite for a reason, it does so much and I don’t even know if there are enough words to explain how incredible this plant oil is when thinking about it’s potential for support. It’s calming, soothing, allows for an easier transition into meditation and prayer, and it helps to clear the air with its natural properties. I always diffuse this during a workshop because it has such a multifaceted support for participants. I love diffusing this during the full moon cycle because it helps me to see the big picture and receive messages and take aways for the issues showing up for me.

Tree Oils: All The Tree Oils Please. I think you either are or aren’t a tree oil person; in the same way that you either are or aren’t an ocean or a lake person. I think that you can appreciate both, the lakes and the ocean but usually people feel more drawn to one over the other and will swim in one over the other and have strong feelings about their reasons why. I digress, so if you are someone who naturally loves being around trees and feel called to be near them and even feel a clearing, and more like yourself when you’re near them, then there’s a good chance you’ll love tree oils.

I’m one of these people, and like other Tree Oil People, I can’t get enough of them. I adore them and really do feel called to use them, especially when I could use some extra comfort, clearing, and emotional support. There are so many tree oils to choose from as you can imagine as there are so many trees. (Thankfully!)

Here are some of my Tree Oil Favorites:

Northern Lights Black Spruce
Idaho Blue Spruce
Idaho Grand Fir
Frankincense
Palo Santo
Cedarwood
Sandalwood
Eucalyptus

Quiet:

I find I need more quiet at this time and will give myself permission to turn off my devices early when I need to and will create a quiet environment for myself so I can just be. During this quiet time, I may read a physical hard copy book, knit or stitch, bead, journal, or just watch the flicker of the candlelight mode on my diffusers which are all over my home. Sometimes I’ll go for a walk around my neighborhood and just listen to the birds or just sit and watch the clouds go by. I find that it’s not about a specific amount of time that I need this quiet, my body just knows what it needs and I try to honor that in the ways that feel right for me on any particular day.

I hope this will help you to find some Support Systems that are a great fit for you and your Full Moon Experience. Remember there’s no one way or right way to move through this powerful time; there’s just the ways that are right for you on any particular day. I hope that by leaning into your own personal Must Have list and creating your own Full Moon Kit you’ll be able to experience a more gentle cycle and maybe even experience some positives and some self care too.

No Tricks, Just Treats

full moon halloween.jpg

it’s a blue full moon tomorrow (2nd full moon this month) and…Halloween!

The energy feels extra big, extra special, and extra ripe for deep healing, releasing, and marking the moment in the ways that feel right for you.

If you’re here in the Northern Hemisphere, then you may or may not have Halloween cancelled where you live. It’s cancelled where I live. If you live in the Southern Hemisphere, you may have Beltane celebrations being cancelled.

No matter what community activities are or aren’t happening, you can still make the most of this time in the ways that speak to you. Let the range of activities slide from the silly to the serious for potential contenders tomorrow.

Movie Marathon with all your favorites from childhood all the way up to now.

  • It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown

  • the Garfield Halloween Cartoon (Don’t know the official name, but you know which one I mean, right?)

  • Harry Potter

  • Hocus Pocus

  • Practical Magic

  • Ghostbusters

Any Scary Movies you might like (I have no recommendations for you because I can barely handle the scary scenes in Harry Potter without covering my eyes. Yes, seriously.)

Or:

  • Dress Up and give yourself permission to eat your favorite candy and treats

  • Do a Zoom Halloween Party

  • Decorate Your Windows or Front Porch for any littles going to see Halloween decorations while staying in the car.

Or:

  • Make a simmer pot filled with all of your favorite fall things.

    • Apples, Pears, Cinnamon, Cloves, Allspice, Cardamom Rosemary, Lemon, and Oranges and then enjoy all the cozy vibes that fill your home.

  • Bake something inspired by the season that’s a fan favorite in your home.

  • Make a special essential oil roller for a theme you want to focus on this season.

    • Manifesting

    • Miracles

    • Meditation

    • Spiritual Gifts

    • Peace

    • Joy

    • Fun

    • Romance

  • Make a special meal that represents this season for you. Set your table in a way that feels uplifting for you and then eat at the table. (Light the candles, or turn on the led’s, play music, and enjoy your meal.)

Or:

  • Take some time to do some internal work about what you’re releasing that’s no longer serving you.

  • Do some healing on some old or repeating themes that have been showing up for you.

  • Honor your departed loved ones, guides, angels, and spiritual support team.

  • Take a moon bath and star gaze (maybe while drinking apple cider)

  • Ask for answers to a question or issue that you may be dealing with right now and allow yourself to receive the answers that come through for you.

  • Enjoy some quiet meditation

  • Lean into the gifts that come with the veil being so thin and so gentle

Or:

Anything that resonates for you.

This isn’t so much about what you do, but that you do something that resonates for you.
Mark this moment and lean into the energy a bit in whichever ways are right for you.

There’s magic in the air right now, tap into it.
Accio Wand!

With love and magical blessings,

Kristy~xoxo

Finding the Magic in This Moment

hello october hearts and lights.jpg

Happy Full Moon, and Happy first day of October!

I really don’t understand how it’s already October but at the same time the months seem to be flying by so here we are knee deep in the kick off to the festive holiday season.

This month has 2 full moons, today the first day of the month and the second on the last day of the month, Halloween. If you’re a Halloween person, this might make it feel even more fun and in the spirit of things so to speak. If you’re living somewhere like me where Halloween has been cancelled due to regulations, that’s okay you can still get into the spirit of the festivities at home in ways that feel like a fit for you.

Some people have told me they’re going all in on decorating and doing all the things because they haven’t been able to go anywhere or do anything and decorating feels uplifting for them. Other people have told me they’re putting out some pumpkins and putting up their trees so they can get it all going at the same time. While yet another group has told me they just don’t have the energy for it.

No matter where you fall in these groups or somewhere in between or a totally unique hybrid; I think that 2020 has really shown us where we are and what is important to us right now. It doesn’t matter if what’s a fit for you is the same thing as someone else you know and love. Lean into where you are from a place that feels supportive, comforting, and nurturing for you.

If you feel like going all in, great!

If you feel like putting the entire holiday season on blast at the same time, great!

If you feel like this year you need to establish calm and not add additional work to your plate, great!

If this has never been your thing and you just don’t feel like doing it, great!

As we move into the holiday season, schedules traditionally tend to get busier with more things to get done and more places to be. This year however, even though we haven’t been going anywhere it feels like we all could use a collective respite.

More than ever, this is a time to honor what you know you need to do to give yourself some extra tlc. Pay attention to how you feel about leaning into this seasonal shift as it’s a great litmus test for the things that your soul is longing for.

Do you feel like you need more…

  • Joy

  • Fun

  • Play

  • Laughter

  • Imagination

  • Magic

  • Nostalgia

  • Sentiment

  • Family Tradition

  • Connection

  • Comfort

  • Healing

  • Calm

  • Quiet

  • Peace

  • Rest

  • Gentility

  • Introspection

  • Self Care

  • Or __________________

Tuning into the areas that speak or resonate for you will help you to know where you’re at right now and what your spirit is asking you to increase or decrease to create the recipe that’s right for you, right now.

This is a big spirit month too, this is a time when the veil gets thinner and we’re able to connect more easily with our higher self, guides, angels, and departed loved ones. As you take a little time to invest in the areas where you can use some extra support, you’ll find these other connections are stronger for you too.

In the Northern Hemisphere we’ll begin having shorter days and longer evenings, and cooler weather which will bring people inside even more than we’re already doing. The quiet, the darker days, and the time doing gentler or inside activities quiets the mind of too much chatter which also increases the connection to spirit.

You can also strengthen that connection through meditation, creativity, play, intention, prayer, practice, and formal training.

If 2020 has been a crash course in getting clear on what is and isn’t working, let this month be a time where you fine tune what your soul has been trying to tell you for some time, maybe more than just this year.

Lean into the energy of this month, take time to turn inward.

Look over your list of what your soul would like more of and take action on those things to the best of your ability.

You may find a connection back to the real you, even though you were never gone, the connection may become clear and open as you give yourself permission to honor the places and spaces of yourself that want some attention and tender loving care.

I love that this month has full moons on the first and last days, they feel like book ends to me; marking important work and insights that will happen between them while also moving into some kind of portal. Lean into this time in the ways that are right for you. October is giving us a gift and an opportunity to do some important work on ourselves and our spaces so we can prepare to move through the end of 2020.

I’m wishing you a powerful and supportive month filled with the things that soothe and speak to your soul.

With love from my teeny corner of the world,
Kristy~ xoxo

P.S. There are still fires where I am and for so many others throughout the west. Thank you so much for your heartfelt thoughts, notes, prayers, and good vibes that you’ve been sending; it’s very appreciated!

If you’ve been here for a while you may know that in, October I give myself the soup, stew, and chili challenge where I make something under that umbrella every single day for the entire month. I was going back and forth about it this year because you know…all the things. However, I’ve decided to do it so I’ll try to keep you updated on my progress and will share through stories on the gram.

Okay…I’m signing off for now because one of the things my soul needs is more magic, whimsy, quidditch, and butter beers. I’m going to get out my Harry Potter stuff and set it up so I can watch the movies whenever I feel guided this month.

Until then…Mischief Managed.

3 Ways to Move Through the Full Moon Cycle

full-moon-beyond-the-pines-728-x-400.jpg

We’re coming up on a big full moon this, Saturday but I bet you’re already feeling some signs + symptoms of this moon cycle. I know I’m really feeling it, especially in my body which has been feeling really heavy, slow moving, and a bit lethargic today.

I wanted to share 3 of my favorite ways to move through a full moon cycle with you in case it can offer you some additional support.

Sometimes people think that full moon symptoms occur only on the day of the full moon, but that’s not entirely true. The impact can be felt by highly sensitive people, like yourself several days prior to the full moon, the day of, and several days afterward. If you’ve been feeling a bit off, it may be because you’re already riding these full moon waves that are rolling into town for all of us.

 Common Full Moon Symptoms:

  • I find that Empath’s, HSP’s, and Intuitives experience these symptoms more than those who don’t identify as sensitive.

  1. Slight Fever

  2. Headache

  3. Achy or Highly Sensitive Skin

  4. Increased Sensitivity to Light, Sound, and Crowds

  5. Pressure in the Head and or Body

  6. Feeling Lethargic or in Slow Motion

  7. Feeling Foggy or Find it Hard to Focus

  8. Bloating

  9. Nausea

  10. Clumsiness

  11. Intense Emotions and or Deep Feelings

  12. Need to be Alone or to be Quiet

  13. Need more Sleep than Usual, Including Naps

  14. Exhaustion

  15. Insomnia

  16. Dehydration

  17. Upset or Sensitive Stomach

  18. Food Cravings

1. Increase Your Water:
Drink more water to help your body re-calibrate itself. Even if you’re someone who always drinks the exact right amount of water for your weight and height every day, drink a bit more. The full moon moves the water inside our bodies and increasing water can help to reduce bloating, headaches, dehydration, food cravings, and feeling foggy.

2. Treat Yourself to a Treatment:
You may want to schedule a Massage, Acupuncture, Reiki, Chakra Balancing, or other Self Care treatment to help you during this time of deep sensitivity. Treatments can support your body in moving back into alignment, leaving you feeling more like yourself again.

3. TLC
To me this is the most important aspect of support.
Only you will know what you need during this time, and it’s important to treat yourself with the same level of kindness and gentility that you would give to a small child. Treat yourself with kid gloves, move at your own pace, say no to things, situations, and people who aren’t a match for you at this time, and rest when you feel guided. Listen to your body and know that pushing yourself over your limits will only create more stress, strain, and often lead to the task taking much longer than usual.
There are lots of ways to make this Full Moon time more gentle and supportive, and at the end of the day you’re the very best gauge for what’s right for you. Give yourself permission to listen to what you need and then honor that wisdom.

I’m wishing you a gentle and supportive Full Moon Cycle
Love,
Kristy~

Are You Full Moon Sensitive?

Are you full moon sensitive? I’m definitely sensitive to the full moon cycle.  I thought that I would share a few ways that I move through this time as a way to offer you some support in case you find this time to be challenging too. I’ve found that some people are more impacted by the full moon than others. It seems to be that the more sensitive someone is, the more they’re effected by full moon symptoms.

So, if you tend to classify yourself as sensitive or especially as a highly sensitive person, you may really resonate with moving through full moon symptoms. However, I’ve found that some people who don’t consider themselves to be sensitive can also be impacted by full moon symptoms. So, if you know someone or live with someone who swears the full moon doesn’t impact them, but you believe otherwise, this could help them too. (You may have to provide the support systems to them discreetly though.)

There are lots of different symptoms associated with the full moon; I’ve included the most common symptoms. These can begin approximately 3 days before the full moon, the day of the full moon, and last approximately 3 days after the full moon.

Bloating
Dehydration
Sinus Pressure
Feeling “Foggy”
Clumsiness
Hyper sensitive skin; your skin may actually ache and or feel uncomfortable in fabrics that aren’t extra soft.
Low grade fever
Upset or sensitive stomach
Exhaustion
Lethargy
Need for deep rest
Insomnia
Intense Emotions and or feelings of being on an emotional roller coaster
Frustration and or agitation
Food Cravings

The full moon has historically been a time of releasing and clearing. Even though we’re living in a world where things are moving really quickly and it seems like there’s always something that needs to get done, this is still an important time to acknowledge and to honor. The moon moves the tides in the oceans and since we’re made mostly of water, we’re also impacted by the cycles of the moon. Even if you’re really busy and can’t take a lot of time to treat yourself with a little tlc during the full moon; you may want to incorporate a few of the ideas below to help your full moon cycle be a little more gentle.

Increase H2O

Even if you’re great about getting your daily water intake, try to drink a little bit more. This is especially important if you find yourself feeling parched or bloated during this time. You may want to add a little lemon to your water to help reduce any bloating. Water also seems to help move the physical symptoms along more quickly as well.

Take A Swim In the Tub

Soak in a salt bath to help reduce any tension or stress you may be feeling. Soaking in Epsom and Sea Salt can help to soothe your body and help you feel more relaxed and like yourself again. The Epsom salt will also help to soothe any aches or sensitivities you may be experiencing in your skin or muscles as well. If you aren’t a bath person, you can do a salt scrub in the shower.

Reduce Loud Noises

You may notice that your tolerance for loud noises, crowds, technology, and background noises moves to a near zero tolerance policy. To the best of your ability, try to turn off machines and stay away from loud, crowded places. Depending on your sensitivity level, you may want to listen to nature sounds such as a water fountain to help your body unwind and relax. You can also listen to nature stations on Pandora or Spotify.

Rest

This one is really important and tends to cause a little trouble for some people. It’s really important to rest during this time, however many people try to push past their comfort zone and don’t slow down; which can lead to more exhaustion. So, if you can rest or nap (even if you aren’t a napper) give yourself permission to do it. 15-20 minutes of down time can make a big difference.

Insomnia

Many people experience insomnia during the full moon. That’s why it’s even more important to rest during small pockets of time during the day. You may want to have an area in your home set up so you can easily move to it if you can’t sleep. I set out a blanket and pillow, and put a movie into the dvd player before turning in for the night so I don’t have to spend a lot of time looking for things when I can’t sleep.

Emotional Release

You may find that you ride a big wave of emotions during this time. You may want to journal, talk to a trusted friend or support person, have a good cry, watch a favorite movie, do something creative, or anything that will help you to feel comforted.

Essential Oils

Using pure high grade essential oils can be a huge support system during the full moon. Whether you feel guided to diffuse them into the room you’re in or apply them to your skin, this can be a big a game changer in helping you feel comforted, relaxed, and balanced.

Gentle Foods

If you tend to have an upset stomach during this time, you may want to drink chamomile and peppermint tea to help soothe your tummy. Green drinks, smoothies, and soups can also be easy on the body and taste really comforting.

Smudging or Releasing Ceremony

You may want to consciously release anything that is no longer a fit for you or your life. There may be things that are changing or leaving your life; this can include people, situations, relationships ways of living, and repeating patterns.  There’s no one way to do this, just the way that feels right for you. You can create a list of the things you’re releasing and burn it (in a well ventilated area), bury it, or even flush it. You can visualize all that you’re releasing and ask your angels and guides to take them away from you and your life. You can set the intention to release everything that’s no longer serving you and then smudge your home with sage to release them and clear your home. You can find sage at most health food stores. Or, you can create your own way to mark and honor what you’re releasing.

Treat Yourself to a Treatment:

You may want to schedule a massage, acupuncture, Reiki, Chakra Balancing, or other self care treatment to help you during this time of deep sensitivity. Sometimes a treatment can help the physical and emotional symptoms move along more quickly.

There are lots of ways to make this time more gentle and supportive, and at the end of the day you’re the very best gauge for what’s right for you. Give yourself permission to listen to what you need and then honor that wisdom.

Please leave a comment sharing a way you move through the full moon energies. Do you have a sensitive friend or family member who could benefit from this list of full moon support tips? Please share it with them so they can get some extra TLC right now too. Thank you!
