Curating Special Moments | Making Your Peace A Priority

Hi, I hope this finds you well as we officially welcome December.

I don’t know about you but I feel like time has been moving so quickly over the last several weeks and now here we are greeting the last month of the year. I hope that as you’re reading this, you’re able to take a little time out for yourself to relax, breathe, and take in the messages below that came through for you this month.

As each day grows colder and shorter here in the Northern Hemisphere we naturally feel guided to stay inside, to slow down, and to rest. However, this month tends to be so busy with lots of things to do, people to see, and places to go that it can sometimes feel a bit like a whirlwind. Many times people feel like they missed the holiday season because there were so many things that needed to get done and before they know it, it’s behind them. Maybe you’ve experienced this in the past and now try to make a concerted effort to slow down and take in the season in the ways that are meaningful for you. Sometimes people tell me that they secretly wish they could do _________ during the season but aren’t sure how make a change or do something differently. Shifts and changes are a natural part of life and if you’re being guided to shift something that you have done in the past and add something new or limit some activities this year, please know that you’re being divinely guided.

I’ve often found that highly sensitive people (like yourself) can experience a bit of an energy overload from lots of activities which can lead to feelings of exhaustion and a deep need to recharge your batteries. It can even lead to feelings of anxiousness about how to best prepare for all the get togethers so you feel your best while also keeping your systems in balance. If this resonates for you, you’re not alone. You may want to take a little breath here to help release any tension or tightness that may be showing up around this issue for you. Good. This is completely natural. The great thing is that one of the best ways you can enjoy this festive season while also taking good care of yourself is to be clear about what things or activities are a yes and which one’s aren’t. The great thing about using this technique is that there will be a clear yes and everything else is not a yes. Sometimes challenges come from the “well….maybe I can squeeze one more thing in even though I’m already scheduled pretty tight this week” style of scheduling. This kind of logical override or feeling obligated to make a no into a yes can lead to stress and pressure. When you ask yourself, “Is this a Yes?” You’ll feel, know, and hear it 100%. When something is not a yes, you will also know, it will be very clear for you. This allows you to bypass the “well maybe it can work” situations from the past. If you allow yourself to use this to support you in planning out your activities this season, you’ll find that you get to enjoy even more of the season and will find that your experiences can feel more meaningful and prescient for you.

Sometimes, some of the most magical moments are the ones that seem small, quiet, or simple. You get to decide what moments and memories are meaningful for you and yours. The truth is that the ways that you’re called to celebrate and honor the calling of your heart this season makes every Yes into a significant and special way to mark the season. Maybe you can take a little time today to ask yourself what aspects or activities are important to you so you can get clear on what your month will look and feel like. By taking a little time to find your Yes’s, you may find that you get to enjoy the season in a new way, one that resonates with you and your personal peace. Giving yourself permission to curate the season in the ways that are right for you and yours will be a gift that you and your loved ones will all get to enjoy.

I’m wishing you and yours a very Happy, Healthy, Holiday Season!

As always, I’m sending you love and support from my teeny tiny corner of the world straight to you!
With deepest love and gratitude, thank you so much for being here with me~
Love,
Kristy~xoxo

P.S. I would love to hear some of your Yes’s if you feel guided to share them with me.
I’m looking forward to hot chocolate, warm jammies, cozy socks, movies, music, baking, and making some of my favorite holiday dishes this month. I hope to carve out some time for knitting and reading too.

Have You Heard the Call to Go Within?

Happy November, blank~

I hope this finds you well as we officially move into a new month and find ourselves fully experiencing the shifts and changes of the Autumn season here in the Northern Hemisphere.

I feel like so much has happened since we last connected; it seems like each day there is something big happening all over the world not to mention within our own individual lives and communities. I know that as a highly sensitive person it can feel even more intense to keep up with the all the headlines but at the same time feeling guided to help where you can which can create a bit of a push pull dichotomy. So many people that I talk to are experiencing a bit of helpers burn out, maybe you are experiencing this too. You may want to do more, help more, and contribute more but also feel like you need to listen to your body which is asking you to rest and restore. If so, you’re not alone. As sensitive souls this need to balance the strong desire and call to help others while also taking good care of yourself is always happening but you may notice that the call to slow down is getting more and more prescient.

This theme of pulling your energy within is coming through very clearly right now. This guidance to pull your resources back, to get quiet, and to allow yourself to reset is a powerful message that will support you in moving forward this month. I know that may seem like a contradiction in terms, but by going within (to the best of your ability) you’re able to gain clarity about what you’re being guided to focus on and how to move forward when you’re guided to do so. This may include some of the following, or may help you to realize the messages that you’re receiving; this is not a be all end all list.

  • Reducing excess noise so that you can more clearly hear the messages that are coming though for you.

  • Choosing specific times to check in on news stories and updates rather than scrolling throughout the day or listening to podcasts or news programming in the background throughout the day.

  • Supporting your body by increasing your immune system through drinking more water and eating more nutrient dense foods.

  • Reducing or removing foods and beverages that are making you feel tired, sick, or sluggish.

  • Getting outside into nature to move your body and also connect with the natural beauty, plants, and animals all around you.

  • Taking breaks from screen time and physically doing something you enjoy.

  • Creating a space that feels gentle and supportive for you so you can let down and allow your body, mind, and spirit decompress.

  • Listening to gentle music, meditations, or nature sounds to support your nervous system.

  • Using golden or amber colored lightbulbs to help soften the light in your home.

  • Using candles or faux candles to create the gentle flicker and warm lighting in your home.

  • Investing in time to genuinely rest and restore even if that means you aren’t multi-tasking while “resting.” (Investing in rest is worth it’s weight in gold, and yes, you’re worth it.)

  • Allowing yourself to sleep when you feel tired. (to the best of your ability) You may want to go to bed 15 to 20 minutes earlier so that you can get more sleep and better quality sleep.

  • Remove or reduce blue light in your sleeping spaces and avoid working or scrolling while in bed so you associate your sleeping space with sleep and rest.

  • Say yes to more flex time in your schedule even if it means saying no to something else.

  • Allow yourself to release the things, people, and situations which are no longer a fit for you even if they were a fit at one time.

  • Make time to do things that fill you up on a soul level even if only for 10 minutes each day. You can set a timer if it helps you and when the timer goes off you can choose to stop or continue if you feel guided.

  • Ask for and allow yourself to receive help and support when you need it.

By including a few of these in your day to day this month (or something specific to you that showed up as you were reading through this list) you will find that you’re better able to take good care of yourself. You may also find that you gain more clarity, insight, and genuine self care at the same time. You don’t have to spend a lot of time investing in these actions to receive the benefits that come with them. You’ll notice that you’ll feel ready to reach out to help those around you or even those who live far away from you when the time is right. As you pull your energy within, you’ll be able to hear, see, feel, and know the messages and guidance that are coming through for you more easily.

As we continue to move through these intense times, it’s even more important for you to take really good care of yourself so you’ll be ready to offer the support, kindness, and help where you’re divinely guided. I see you. I know that you’re spreading light and support wherever you go, whether to the cashier, a stranger who stops to tell you their whole life story in the produce aisle, a neighbor, delivery person, or someone online who’s struggling. I know that you’re always “on” whether you’re at work or at home because you have a kind word or insight for someone in your inner circle. Maybe you’re also working behind the scenes to help when someone or something is out of place and needs to be corrected. I know that you’re raising your hand for more assignments even when your hands are already full. This is a beautiful gift and helps make other people feel seen, validated, and safe; but please remember that you’re deserving of these same kinds of support. Breathe. Take a moment to let down and know that you’re not alone. It’s important to rest when you’re guided and it’s important to receive help when you’re guided too. You don't have to do everything all by yourself.

We’re about to move into a time of shorter days and longer nights beginning on the 3rd of this month here in the Northern Hemisphere which automatically supports us in slowing down and taking time for rest and relaxation. I hope that you will allow yourself to honor this deep and noble call to take good care of yourself this month. This is also a time when gathering and holiday celebrations begin to increase as well. I hope that you will allow yourself to enjoy the balance of going within and sharing in celebrations with loved ones as the month unfolds. I’m wishing you and yours a very healthy and happy November and Thanksgiving Holiday if you’re celebrating.

As always, I’m sending you love and support from my teeny tiny corner of the world straight to you.

With love and gratitude,
Kristy~xoxo

Cool, Calm, and Collected

Hello and welcome to October,

I hope this finds you well as we officially move into a new month and begin to settle into the Autumn season here in the Northern Hemisphere. For some reason, shifting into October, even the very first day feels like such a significant shift for me. Do you notice that shift happening for you today, too? It’s like a little click happens and all of a sudden there’s a palpable awareness that crisp, cooler, cozy weather will be showing up little by little every day this month. Maybe you’ve already started to make way for the new season by changing some things in your home, like pulling out throw blankets, adding soft accent pillows to your sofa or bed, or maybe you’ve already had your first cup of all things pumpkin spice. In any ways that you’re being guided to shift into this season, please give yourself permission to say yes.

While the natural rhythms of each season are always connected to us, there’s something special about moving from one season into the next; we can feel and see the changes happening all around us and it supports us in recognizing the changes happening within us as well. This is a wonderful time to check in with yourself about what changes you’re experiencing and what changes you would like to invest in throughout this new season. You may be experiencing a lot of momentum if you’re still plugging away at updating your systems which was such a powerful theme that was showing up in September. Maybe as you’ve been updating organizational systems, donation, and work flow systems, you’ve found more areas you’re inspired to update and streamline. It’s such a great feeling when you lighten your load and get things into alignment for where you are now so you can move forward with what works best for you and your needs. This energy of fresh starts, new beginnings, and change is a powerful time to continue the projects that you have on your list and to allow yourself to enjoy your spaces as well. As we begin to move into a season where we will be experiencing shorter days and longer nights, we often spend more time indoors and at home. The pull to create a space that feels supportive, comforting, and safe is a strong message that’s showing up right now. (Maybe you’re receiving this message too.)

In fact, this theme of almost hunkering down and creating a space (to the best of our ability) that feels cozy and nurturing has been so strong that it almost feels like it can’t be ignored. Like most things, there’s no one way or right way to do this. There are only the ways that feel right for you right now. Maybe the ways you used to honor this call isn’t the way you feel guided to do it this season. Maybe you’ll feel guided to increase your creature comforts by setting out some favorite candles, or essential oil blends that feel like fall to you. Maybe you’ll be guided to shift the lighting to more gentle or golden lighting so your space feels more calming and restful. Maybe you’ll be guided to get out some activities that you enjoy doing that you have tucked away in closets or boxes. These could include puzzles, art supplies, yarn, needles or hooks, journals, musical instruments, or maybe some physical books that you’ve been meaning to get around to reading. Anything that you enjoy that you haven’t been able to do for whatever reasons, this is a good time to get them down and into places that you can easily see and access. You’ll be amazed at how much you’ll allow yourself to enjoy your interests when they’re easily accessible to you. Maybe the way you mark the seasonal shift and move into the energy of cozy involves baking or cooking something special that you look forward to all year. Maybe you would like to try your hand at making something new or something that you’ve been wanting to try for a long time. All of these are wonderful ways to move into this energy of creating a space that makes you feel comforted and insulated. A place where you’d like to stay awhile and even put your feet up, maybe you have fuzzy socks on too.

When I was receiving this message about what themes are really palpable for this month, I was shown the importance of making this seasonal shift a priority. Not only because it supports us in moving into this new season and organically helps us to experience more balance but because it’s supporting us in creating a small space of peace. With so much happening all around us within our communities, on a national level, and as a global community there’s a lot of intensity, stress, and worry happening. It seems you can find news stories every day and nearly all day no matter what time zone we’re in that contribute to these feelings of stress and overwhelm. As we continue to move through this season, we’ll find this intensity to not only be with us but also to magnify. While this thought can feel unwelcome, on a deep core level I know that many people (especially highly sensitive souls like yourself) can see and feel this truth resonating for them too. It’s important to remember that allowing ourselves to feel our feelings is important and it’s equally important to cultivate a space that can support us in increasing calm, comfort, and care. We’re being guided to invest in this support system for ourselves and our loved ones so that we can carve out a space that feels like a sanctuary inside the storm. You don’t have to do all the things all at once. The process of moving into this new season while also enjoying it can happen a little bit at a time; that’s the magical part of the experience. The big message here is about allowing yourself to honor this calling in the ways that you feel resonate for you. The message is about not putting off this experience for another day when you have more time or when you feel “ready” but rather to make today the right day. Every action you make no matter how seemingly small will lead to a significant shift for you and your home. You are 100% worth the investment of these action steps and it will yield big dividends for you throughout the whole season. Focus on what’s right in front of you, and choose what you can do today to honor the call you’re receiving about this new season.

I hope that you’ll enjoy watching the colors of the changing leaves, the crisp cool morning air, the smell of autumn, and the change in the light all month long. I hope you’ll enjoy finding ways to honor your own personal blend of cool, calm, and collected throughout October. This is a magical month filled with so many shifts and changes and it’s also the unofficial kick off to the holiday season for many people. Lean into the season, lean into the shift, and give yourself permission to say yes to the comfort and calm that your soul wants right now.

As always, I’m sending you so much love and support from my teeny tiny corner of the world straight to you.

If you feel guided to work with me this month, I would love to support you during a session.

With love and gratitude,
Kristy~xoxo

September is for...Systems

Hello and welcome to September,

I hope this finds you well as we officially turn the corner on the last few weeks of summer here in the Northern Hemisphere and prepare to welcome a change in the seasons. Even if you live somewhere like me where it’s still in the triple digits, when we move into September and officially enter the “bers” a noticeable shift is upon us. Maybe you’re noticing subtle but significant shifts happening around you already. Shorter days, a tiny crisp bite to the air in the morning, and maybe even a slight change to the colors in the leaves. No matter how much we want to hang onto those long days of summer, the change of seasons is upon us which brings with it lots of other changes too.

Change is a good thing; it helps us to appreciate where we are right now while we prepare for the next phase or season that’s approaching. When I think about September it brings up so many images and memories about back to school, structure, streamlining, schedules, sleep (aka bed time), and systems. Maybe this month brings those things up for you too, even if you’re no longer a student and no longer have students left in the home. These themes are very prominent for all of us across the board no matter what our student status may be. These are universal themes that show up at this time of the year and we are given an opportunity to tune into these messages and take action accordingly.

You may be receiving these messages as well. Sometimes these messages show up as a strong feeling or an experience of being compelled to get things done and to get them going now. Other times you may see things that for whatever reason you finally “notice” need to be attended to and decide to make a priority. For some, it may be a seasonal task that is part of a regular routine and this shift in seasons is an organic time for you to make changes to your systems. No matter how these messages are showing up for you, please know that you’re connecting to the messages and information coming through right now beautifully.

We’re being guided to shift to a space that is more structured, and in many ways, more streamlined than the season we’re gently shifting away from over the next few weeks. This is a really special and dare I say, magical time because we get to experience the ebb and flow of one season finishing its final “show” and handing it off to the next one to follow. In this in between time we get to enjoy the remaining long days of summer while also preparing for autumn. Maybe you’ll feel guided to take stock of what is working well in your home and work life right now and find ways to highlight those aspects going forward. Maybe you’ll feel guided to clear out some things that are no longer needed and let them go. Maybe you’ll feel guided to organize, arrange, and completely change some systems that have served their purpose. Maybe you’ll be guided to increase a skill set you’ve been learning or begin learning something completely new. This fresh start energy is full of potential, excitement, new beginnings, and an opportunity for deep positive change. Perhaps, one of the calls for change that you’re being guided to embrace is the call to rest, restore, and replenish yourself. Maybe you’re being guided to prioritize sleep, boosting your immune system, and saying no to extra demands on your time, energy, and nervous system. Maybe quiet, calm, and peace are a priority for you and your overall wellbeing this season. There are many ways to embrace and honor this time of change and opportunity, and taking care of yourself is not only important but a deep call toward changing old systems that have run their course.

This is also a time when we can get some things done before the end of summer that will support us through the end of the year. Things like getting in that fall garden, especially if you have a late frost date. Adding some more chopped wood to the wood pile if you have a wood burning stove or fireplace. Preserving food in any ways that you enjoy whether that means filling jars, freezer bags, dehydrating, or all of the above so you can dip into them long after the summer is behind us. No matter what guidance you’re receiving about this shift and about September, please let yourself honor your messages to the best of your ability.

Taking 3 to 5 minutes to breathe, meditate, and focus can help you to gain clarity about what you’re being guided to focus on this month. You can also work with Archangel Michael, Archangel Raphael, and Archangel Gabriel to help you understand the messages coming through for you and to increase your motivation to take action. You can journal, work with your guides, or make a list that you can check off as you get things finished to help you increase your momentum. There’s no one way or right way to honor your messages, just the ways that are right for you.

If you’re unsure about what you’re being guided to focus on at this time, I would love to support you in gaining clarity and some actionable steps to support you in capitalizing on this wave of energy this month. If you’d like to focus on something else entirely, I would love to support you during a session as well.

I’m wishing you and yours a wonderful new month and a positive shift into this new season while enjoying the last days of the current season as well. I’d love to hear how you’re marking the end of summer and how you’re going to be honoring your Systems for September.

As always, I’m sending you love and support from my teeny tiny corner of the world straight to you!
With love and gratitude,
Kristy~xoxo

Reassess, Reengage, and Repeat

Hello and welcome to August~
I hope this finds you well as we begin a new month. I feel like so much has happened since we last connected and I have a feeling you may be experiencing it too.  Does it feel a bit like a whirlwind has been happening? Almost as if days feel like weeks and then sometimes weeks feel like days? You’re not alone and no, you’re not imagining it either. So much is happening that it can be a bit of a challenge to take a break and focus on one thing at a time while also remembering to take a little time for you too.

So, on that note, let’s take a little deep breath, in through the nose and out through the mouth….good. Take a moment to release any tension, tightness, or stress you may be holding onto inside of your body. And double check to make sure you aren’t holding your breath and release any tension in your tummy…good. Go ahead and take another deep breath in and then out through your mouth…good. You can do this exercise anytime you are feeling any tension or stress or if you notice that your body feels tight or frozen. This helps to reset your nervous system and can support regulating your body so it can get back to rest and digest instead of running fight, flight, freeze, or fawn for long periods of time. This natural stress response can stay activated for long periods of time when we’re experiencing a significant amount of stress and unexpected events over a period of time.

As you may already know or can guess from the title of this newlsetter, Mercury Retrograde is beginning on the 4th of this month and goes through the 28th. However, we’ve already been getting a preview of this energy as its shadow period began on the 16th of July. All we have to do is think about the blue screen update fiasco to get a picture of this energy system that we’re all moving through together. Whether we were personally impacted by the blue screen update, or tried to support people we knew who were impacted, or watched footage of people stuck in airports we are all getting a clear view of this energy. This is a great time to back up files and double check your systems. For more specific information about the astrological updates surrounding this cycle, click here to read Elizabeth Pendleton’s detailed breakdown. If you’ve been here for a while you’ll remember Elizabeth and her fantastic Astrology 411; if you’re new, you’re in for a treat, she’s fantastic!

With everything happening right now, the big theme that’s coming through is all about taking stock or taking a personal inventory of what you’re being guided to address. This can be anything from going over to do lists that have been unattended for whatever reasons, to getting some extra items from the store for a little cushion, or making changes to your schedule so you can have more room to get to the things you are being guided to do. Sometimes one of the best ways we can make an impact is to clear out the stuff that isn’t really relevant right now. Maybe you’re being guided to say no to some things so you can say yes to making your lists or needs a priority. Reassessing your situation is a top priority right now. If you’ve been getting this message too, you’re spot on and I’m just confirming your messages for you.

Once you are clear on what you’re being guided to focus on, try to do one thing at a time so you can see and feel progress being made. I know that it sounds like doing one thing at a time should be a given but I know that you probably tend to do many things all at the same time. So, when you find yourself going into this pattern, give yourself some grace, take a breath, and choose one thing to work on and then work on that one thing, even if only for 15 minutes. If you need to set up a timer, it can really help to calm any stress you may feel about only working on one thing at a time. When the timer rings, you can either take a break, choose to stop, or choose to begin working on something else. This will help you to make real progress and get things off your list while also helping you to decompress and offload some stress at the same time. You’ll also increase your ability to focus on one thing at a time which will make it easier to continue this new pattern. This is the Reengage phase, as it allows you to take action consciously in ways that are supportive for you. This style also allows you to build in Recovery time with an option to take a break and to stop when your timer rings. This is really important right now too; as you can imagine stress can take a toll on our overall health and wellbeing. Taking time for recovery and rest is important and allows you to get back to your reengage phase when you’re ready.

This process of reassess, reengage, and repeat is the big theme coming through right now. Part of this can also include things like rest, renewal, rejuvenate, restore, review, reconnect, remove, respond, retire, recreate etc. The real takeaway here is to give yourself permission to focus on what you are personally being guided to invest in during this cycle. Your Reassess list or information may be similar to someone else’s in your life or it may be really different. By connecting with yourself and asking what you need to focus on you’ll be guided to the things that are right for you. You can take some time in quiet meditation or during a journaling exercise to get clear on what is showing up for you. You can work with your guides or AA Michael, AA Raphael, or AA Uriel to help you get clear on this information. Or, if you feel guided to work with me; I would love to help you get some clarity on this information! Whatever ways feel right for you as you move through this theme this month will support you in making progress and moving forward one step at a time.

I look forward to working with you if you feel guided to schedule a session with me and I’m wishing you a gentle and supportive month. Please go slow, give yourself grace, and ask for help when you need it. A lot is happening and it’s important to remember that you’re not alone.

As always, I’m sending you love and support from my teeny tiny corner of the world straight to you!
With love and gratitude,
Kristy~xoxo

P.S. At the time of writing this, the Park Fire is still raging in my community. A big thank you to those of you who have reached out and sent your love and support, I really appreciate it! As of right now I have not been evacuated and I haven’t had to change any appointments. I am still working and If I am evacuated, I will keep you updated and keep my schedule updated as well, to the best of my ability. Xoxo

July 2024: Bringing the Heat

Hi, Happy July!
I hope this finds you well as we begin our first full month of Summer here in the Northern Hemisphere. This season is already off to a hot start and I hope that wherever you are, you’ve been able to stay cool through these heat waves. The energies and messages that have been showing up for July have been really interesting. In some ways the energies are similar to the bright, warm, and long summer days of July’s past while others are a bit different. Maybe you’re receiving these same messages, insights, and feelings about our new month too. I want to share with you the messages that I’ve been getting and some ways that we can move through this big bright energy together.

Grab a tall cold glass of water, iced tea, or anything that feels refreshing for you and let’s take a look at what’s happening this month. There are 2 big themes that are showing up for us this month. They are equally palpable and equally bright in the way they look and feel. If you can imagine two lanes on a freeway (I know freeways have more than 2 lanes but just imagine that there are two.) You can drive on either of these lanes because they are both on your side of the freeway. They are the same size and look equal in every way. One lane is all about fun, laughter, long summer days, long summer nights, playing outside, and carefree summer energies. The other lane is all about making a list and checking it twice. (Sorry for the Christmas in July reference but that is what’s coming through.) There’s a strong theme around taking stock of what you have on hand that may need to be spruced up a bit. For example, if you need to add some things to your pantry staples or have some more water on hand, there’s a strong message about taking action on those things. There’s also a strong theme about clearing clutter, fixing or replacing items that need to be tended to, and getting things on your to do list marked off and finished. This checks and balances calling is very clear in its message to go through our homes, properties, and even closets with a fine tooth comb to get a clear image of what needs to be done and then to take action on ticking it off the list. We’re being guided to do this to the best of our ability. Focus on making that list and move through it as you’re able, start with the things that feel fun or easy. Some things may require the help from a professional or a friend and reaching out for that help when needed will also help you to move forward on your list.

These 2 big themes feel like opposites and one of them definitely isn’t representative of a traditional summer message. However, what I see is that these 2 themes compliment one another beautifully and are being brought through as a support system for us. Imagine yourself driving in the checks and balances lane for a while, you notice that you’re making a lot of progress and getting things checked off your list; you’re feeling good but also ready for a little break. So, you decide to change lanes into the classic relaxing, fun, and playful summer energy. Maybe you feel guided to take a day trip or host a garden party, or ride your bike all over town, or spend the day splashing in the creek or pool. This lane provides you with the relaxing energy that helps you to feel restored and ready to change lanes again and get back to the list you’ve made. It’s this ebb and flow that’s happening and when you think about summer, that is a very traditional + powerful theme that shows up for us. We’re being guided to stay in the flow of play and fun while also getting our house is order so to speak. You get to decide how long you drive in each lane. You’ll know when you’re being divinely guided to switch to the other lane, you’ll know it and you’ll be able to feel it. The pull to switch lanes will be palpable.

If you’re wondering why this 2 part theme is showing up for us this month, I see that it’s supporting us in streamlining things in our lives. I see that simplifying, lightening our load, and having things organized and in working order is going to set us up for success as we continue to move through these next months. It’s one of those things where you’ll look back at this month and say, “way to go past me, you’re awesome!”

As you’re moving through your freeway, you may notice that there’s a 3rd lane up ahead. This lane represents continuing to learn and practice new skills. The skills, hobbies, and even things you’ve been wanting to try your hand at are here in this 3rd lane. It’s really a combination of learning, taking action, and having fun. Please feel free to drive in this lane when it shows up for you this month too. It’s also a supportive stream and will lead to forward motion while also having fun strengthening your new skill sets, a win-win for sure.

Overall, each of these lanes allows us to move through the ebbs and flows of the energies happening this month. By changing lanes when guided throughout July we get to make the most out of the month while also having fun, slowing down, and gaining momentum on our lists. I encourage you to enjoy each of the lanes as you’re in them, lean into them fully and then change lanes and enjoy the other energies fully too.

I’m wishing you a wonderful month, one filled with fun, joy, rest, rejuvenation, and forward motion on all the things that you’re working on throughout July!
If you’d like me to take a look at the personal themes showing up for you this month, I would love to work with you. Or if you feel guided to schedule a session for another topic entirely, I would love to support you in any way that I can!

As always, I’m sending you so much support and love from my teeny tiny corner of the world straight to you!
With love and gratitude,
Kristy~xoxo

P.S. Please remember to drink a little bit more water than usual; it’s so hot out there and it’s important for you to stay healthy and hydrated. 😊
A very Happy 4th of July to you and yours if you’re celebrating!

Increasing the Volume of Your Inspiration, Insights, and Ideas

Happy June~

I hope this finds you well as we move into a new month and a new energy.
Did May feel like it was extra long this year or was that just me? Here in the Northern Hemisphere, we are winding down the Spring season and preparing for the beginning of Summer all in the next few weeks. It’s an exciting time and one that brings with it lots of movement, shifts, and changes. You may have noticed this shift showing up for you in your life too. Maybe you’re literally moving, or maybe you can feel an upswing in your energy which is moving you to get things going in your life that have felt stagnant. However this energy is showing up for you, this is a wonderful time to take action on your personal inspiration, insights, and ideas.

Working hand in hand with this uplifting energy is a gentle but very palpable message about increasing the volume on joy. Sometimes we feel like our joy meter is either on or off but if you can think about it like a volume dial that you can manually increase at any rate you want, you can find ways to increase your dial at a rate that resonates for you. One of the ways that you can increase the volume of joy in your life is by investing in the aspects of life that feel meaningful and fulfilling to you. It doesn’t matter if other people in your circle enjoy the same things you enjoy, it only matters that you feel uplifted and fulfilled. Every investment in these activities increases that volume dial allowing you to reduce stress, tension, and feelings of overwhelm while moving into the flow of something you enjoy at the same time. Another benefit of investing in things that you like or even love to do is that you actually recharge your batteries while you’re doing_____________. You may find that you notice an additional boost in your energy, mood, and outlook allowing you to move forward with something that you’ve been wanting to work on. This creates momentum for you in many areas of your life, and simultaneously increases that volume on joy. Win-win.

There’s no one way or right way to do this, only the ways that feel right for you right now. For some people, they may feel inspired to make plans with people they haven’t seen in a while. Others may feel guided to take action on projects, dreams, or to do lists they’ve been meaning to get to. Some people may feel guided to begin clearing clutter, working on gardens, and other DIY projects that finally feel like “today is the day” kind of inspiration. Some people are being guided to delegate and ask for help. Many people are being guided to learn or practice new skills that they’ve been dabbling with here and there. While others are receiving messages about moving their bodies more, eating lighter nutrient dense foods, and getting outside more frequently. What messages have you been receiving lately? You’ll know that you’re receiving divine messages by the repetitive nature of the message and the thoughts and feelings that come with them such as, “I was just thinking that.” or “Woah, that seems like it was a message for me too.” or “Why do I keep hearing the same thing every time I walk by a conversation, turn on a video, or read a post?” Messages are often repeated over and over until we realize that they are for us. You can always ask for a confirmation if you’re unsure the message is for you. You may be receiving more than one message as we move into this new shifting energy. Finding ways to allow yourself to honor your messages in the ways that feel like a fit for you will support you in enjoying this shift while also honoring your inspiration, insights, and ideas.

As a highly sensitive soul, you may find yourself feeling a bit tentative at the thought of the messages or inspiration you’re receiving. That’s okay, if you notice any tension or tightness, please just take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth…good. You don’t have to do everything today. In fact, if you can try to shift your perception from tasks or work to play and fun it can help to decrease any nervousness you may be feeling. By starting with something, anything, you will begin to capitalize on that movement and momentum happening. You can choose something seemingly easy or fun or set a timer to work on something for a specific amount of time and then stop when the timer ends. Sprinkling investments of time in the things, people, and aspects of life that are meaningful to you will support you in increasing your joy. This will also support you in making the shifts and changes that are important to you which will also increase your volume on joy. You can do it and yes, you are 100% worth the investment of your time and energy. Your dreams, insights, and ideas are equally important as others and seemingly small investments always add up to big change.

I’m wishing you a wonderful new month filled with kind people, experiences, and opportunities. I’d love to hear how you’re investing in your personal inspiration, insights, and ideas this month!

If you feel guided to work with me or you’d like me to look at the messages that are showing up for you right now, I’d love to work with you. You can schedule your session here.

As always, I’m sending you love and support from my teeny tiny corner of the world, straight to you.
With love and gratitude,
Kristy~xoxo

Recalibrating and Realigning: Remaining Calm In the Storm

Hello and Happy May,
I hope this finds you well as we welcome a new month. Are you feeling the need to stop and remember to breathe as often as I am? The energy has been moving and shifting so much since we last connected and I wanted to share some messages of support with you as we move through these big shifts together. If you’ve been feeling like there’s been a combination of life experiences, life lessons, changes, unexpected shifts, energies, and increased sensitivity happening for you; you’re not alone. If you pair these experiences with the information we see on the news, it can be a lot for anyone to take in, especially for a highly sensitive soul like yourself. You may feel like you’ve been taking one step forward and one step back. I want to gently remind you to take a moment and breathe…scan your body for any tension or tightness that may be holding space within you and let it go. Just for this moment, let yourself breathe and release anything that’s holding space within you….good. It’s important to take these small moments throughout the day to breathe and reset. You don’t have to take a lot of time out of your day to do this, but it does help and it’s very important. Even taking one or two minutes a couple times a day can help to clear out stress, tension, and tightness from your body and mind.

Like you, I’m moving through these big shifts too. When I asked for some messages about this, the biggest theme that came through was about pulling our energy inward and focusing on the basics. As we move through our day to day life, our energy is spread out here and there as we do all the things on our lists. You may notice that as you move through your day, you feel your energy dwindle and you may even feel exhausted by late afternoon. Sometimes, this can lead highly sensitive people to feel like they aren’t trying hard enough to get things done or that they don’t measure up to their colleagues and tend to push themselves even harder. This overextending can increase these experiences of feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, and tense. By shifting a few things, we can support ourselves in feeling better while also managing the changing energies and big life changes too. (without overextending)

One of the biggest themes that came through about the importance of getting back to basics was about taking good care of our body. You may be receiving this message right now too. This may show up in different ways for different people. Some people may feel guided to start or return to an exercise routine that they used to enjoy. Some people may feel like their body wants to eat and drink gentler foods and beverages. Some people may be guided to increase peace in their lives right now and feel guided to say no to certain invitations or demands on their time. Some people may be receiving guidance about starting or returning to a meditation practice. Some people may be receiving messages about many or all of these things as they are all very prescient right now. Maybe you’re receiving messages about something different but also something that honors your overall wellbeing.

Focusing on taking good care of ourselves so that we can maximize calm, comfort, and focus is the big take away right now. By taking care of the basics, we allow ourselves to move throughout our days in ways that better support and honor our wellbeing which allows us to take better care of the people and callings in our world as well. You can think of the example of being the calm inside the storm. As you honor the messages you’re personally receiving about how to take good care of yourself, you’ll be able to anchor more calm, clarity, and comfort within you and around you. It’s similar to increasing strength or building muscle memory. In the beginning it’s a conscious choice but after a while you’ll find that you’re integrating these positive changes and that the people around you are benefiting from your calm and your focus too.

Sometimes people get nervous about shifting their priorities to taking good care of themselves first as it may not feel natural to them and it may make other people in their lives uncomfortable. This is a real issue and it may feel like an adjustment at first, but taking care of yourself allows you to increase your strength, focus, and ability to do the things that you enjoy without depleting yourself in the process. You may also find that you inspire the people around you to make some changes and to focus on how they can take better care of themselves as well. If there are people who try to discourage you from taking care of yourself, you may want to take a little break from spending time with them if possible. If these people live with you, you may want to reach out for some extra support to help you move through this situation so you can increase healthy boundaries and communication.

Even seemingly small steps lead to big changes when we focus on taking care of ourselves. Investing time in taking care of yourself right now will continue to yield positive results for you going forward. Some of the additional benefits you’ll receive from this process includes but isn’t limited to: increased self confidence, increased self love, and increased self awareness. You may also find that you’re more grounded and focused throughout your day and can more easily move with the changes that are happening. You may also find that you strengthen your ability to hear, see, feel, and know the messages that are showing up for you. Overall, a win-win. No matter where you are right now, you can start by remembering to breathe. Taking a moment to breathe and reset is always beneficial and you can do this practice anywhere and at any time. With the changing world we’re living in right now, focusing on the basics is a powerful way to navigate our lives in a healthy way while also being prepared for the changes that are happening all around us.

I would love to support you during a session if you feel guided to work with me.
I’m wishing you and yours a very happy new month and a very Happy Mother’s Day if you’re celebrating this year.

As always, I’m sending you love and support from my teeny tiny corner of the world straight to you!
With love and gratitude,
Kristy~xoxo

And Away We Go...

Hello and Happy April,

I hope this finds you well as we officially move into the waves of the new energy that’s happening right now. You may notice what a big shift there has been since the last time we connected. Do you feel energized, focused, and ready to take on some projects that have been on your list? Do you feel guided to clean out, clear up, or streamline physical items, situations, and relationship dynamics? Do you feel like your body wants to focus on gentle foods, beverages, and even gentle energies? Maybe you’re feeling called to rest and receive? Maybe you’re feeling all of these aspects coming online for you seemingly all at the same time. If you said yes to any or all of these experiences, you’re tuned into the energy that’s coming through for all of us right now.

We’re receiving a big increase in light, energy, inspiration, and support to help us in moving forward in the ways that are aligned for each of us. You may find that the things that you’re being guided to focus on are similar to those of your friends and loved ones and some of you may find that your focus is more singularly focused. You’ll know what you’re being guided to focus on by your natural interest, inclination, and inspiration. As you follow your own divine guidance in regards to what you’re upgrading and shifting right now you’ll find that you begin to move forward and gain traction organically. If you’ve been feeling that this year has been a bit of a slow starter for you, take heart because this surge of energy is offering all of us a huge help in moving out of the winter slumber and into this burst of forward motion and change.
Along with this increase in light and new energy, some highly sensitive people (like yourself) may be experiencing some ascension symptoms. These symptoms can vary in the way they show up for people but some of the experiences can include but are not limited to the following:

  • Headaches

  • Body Aches

  • Low Grade Fever

  • Dehydration

  • Exhaustion and or Fatigue

  • Need for More Sleep

  • Insomnia

  • Ringing and or Pressure in Ears

  • Sinus Pressure

  • Skin Sensitivity

  • Intense Dreams and or Lucid Dreams

  • Old Issues or Memories Coming up for Healing

  • Need for Quiet

  • Need for Strong Boundaries

  • Need for Time in Nature

  • Increased Sensitivity

  • Need for Rest

If you’re experiencing any of these symptoms, please know that they will pass and the best thing you can do is to give yourself grace and to go at your own pace to the best of your ability. You may find that after the symptoms dissipate for you, you’ll notice an increase in your energy and clarity. You may also find that you feel lighter and more attuned to the new frequencies that are coming through at this time.

Another big theme that’s showing up right now is about big changes and fast changes. You may find that aspects that you felt weren’t shifting at all and maybe you even felt that they were in some way a “lost cause” may change very quickly in ways you may not have been expecting. If there’s been something you’ve been cultivating for some time and in your heart you know that you are being guided to continue to nurture it, please honor that guidance and wisdom. This is powerful time to pour into your dreams, goals, and hopes for yourself. Remember, every step no matter how seemingly small creates momentum and forward motion. If there is someone you need to call, something you need to research, a professional you need to reach out to, or anything at all to support your dream, please give yourself permission to say yes to this wisdom.

Self care often goes hand in hand with themes of big changes and ascension shifts. You may notice this theme showing up for you too. The big take away right now is about gentility. It may seem like a contradiction in terms to focus on forward motion, change, and also gentility; however, this is the big underlying message showing up right now. When you think about ways you can honor your own gentility, what kinds of messages, feelings, images, words, or thoughts come up for you? These are insights into your personal pathway during this time. There’s a big focus on finding ways to honor and balance making changes while also taking care of yourself. There’s a shift away from feeling or believing that only one aspect can be honored at a time. Sometimes, this shift in perception can be an adjustment, especially for highly sensitive people. Often sensitive souls choose to focus on what must be done believing that once the chore chart is complete there will be free time for them to invest in something they want to do just for fun. Often, that isn’t the case and over time it can lead to prolonged enjoyment and then often forced rest in the form of not feeling so great. (no fun at all.) This is a powerful time to practice this balanced approach to blending big changes, a big surge in energy, and honoring gentility and self care simultaneously.

So, for example you may feel inspired to create a garden space this season and begin the process of physically making the space and learning how to sew seeds for your area. You may feel guided to work with the natural rhythm of your body rather than trying to do everything all at once. You may find that you allow yourself the pleasure of enjoying the process rather than pushing yourself to treat this as a job. You may also find that this project helps to calm your nervous system and helps you to slow down. This may also be an activity that allows you to get outside, capture some quiet time, and move into a moving meditation while honing a new skill. All of this allows you to move forward on something you wanted to do while enjoying it at the same time. This quality of balance and gentility mixed in with the energy of big change and forward motion is allowing us to truly take good care of ourselves while also realizing and experiencing changes.

So, as you’re moving through this very exciting time of big changes during the month of April, please give yourself permission to ask how you can add gentility, self care, and enjoyment to the forward motion you’re experiencing right now. It will make this experience that much more positive and supportive for you.

I’m wishing you all of the very best as you honor and nurture the shifts and changes that are happening for you and yours at this time. I would love to support you and take a look at anything showing up for you right now if you feel guided to schedule a session with me.

As always, I’m sending you love and support from my teeny tiny corner of the world, straight to you!
With deepest love and gratitude,
Kristy~xoxo

Grace | Gratitude | Grit

Happy November!

I hope this finds you well as we begin a new month and officially move into the last couple of months of 2023. This year has been a bumpy one for so many people and as we prepare to start this new month, I wanted to share the messages and themes that I’ve received for November. You may be receiving these messages too because as a highly sensitive soul, you’re aware of the subtle energies and shifts happening around and within you.

In the states, we celebrate Thanksgiving in November and there’s a large focus on the theme of gratitude at this time of year. You don’t need to live in the states to embrace or focus on gratitude in your life, this month or any month. However, this practice can help to shift our focus to a place of reflection on what it is that we’re grateful for and research shows that this practice can reduce stress and increase happiness. These are only a couple of aspects or outcomes that people report when participating in active gratitude activities. I often find that it also increases love and opens the heart chakra for clients. I’ve often found that it can help to clear and open up stagnant or slow energy as well and help to get energy, inspiration, and even creativity moving for people. There are lots of ways to participate in a gratitude practice and there are videos, blog posts, and entire books devoted to the topic. However, what I know for sure is that there are no right ways to do this; there are the ways that work best for you,  your schedule, and personal style. If you feel guided to participate in a gratitude activity throughout the month of November, this is a wonderful day or week to start. You may want to document how you’re feeling on day 1 of your process including stress levels, health, and overall well being so you can reflect back on that at the end of the month to see all the takeaways that you personally receive from the process.

You may be thinking that gratitude seems like a very prescient theme for this time of year and may wonder how it stands out as a specific message for the month. The big themes that have shown up for this month include a deep focus on taking care of the nervous system, immune system, and our inner personal strength or constitution. When we look at these themes, one of the biggest aspects that ties all of them together is stress or stressors. I know, not a very flowery or fun topic. However, this has been the strongest theme for us as we move into this month.

The nervous system is the first line of defense for us as we go about our daily lives and when we are overly stressed we can experience an overwhelm or even an overload on our system. This can create a lot of different experiences for people including but not limited to exhaustion, fatigue, lethargy, and feeling as if you have limited bandwidth for stress. This experience can have an impact on your immune system as well and can lead to feeling off or unwell or even experiencing a lot of the cycles of sniffles and yuck. Both of these can impact your personal strength or constitution by making you feel like you don’t have enough get up and go to get things done. This can lead to feelings of self doubt, worry, or even passing on positive experiences or opportunities.

The good news here is that each of these aspects work together, hand in hand as a team. As we pour into and take care of one of these aspects, we automatically help to support the other aspects at the same time. As we invest in these areas this month, even in seemingly small ways, we’re more easily able to move through the energy, news, and day to day experiences that are happening within and around us. When we look at the overall message, we can see that it’s about taking good care of ourselves.

Another word for Grace is Kindness.
Another word for Gratitude is Appreciation.
Another word for Grit is Determination

  • When you see and feel the impact of these words, and think about how to apply them to yourself, what kinds of images, thoughts, or feelings show up for you?

  • When you think about ways that you could support and honor your own systems and personal well being, what things show up for you right away? Why?

  • Which of these three words do you feel you’re being guided to focus on the most right now? Grace, Gratitude, or Grit? Why?

  • Which of the three words feels the most challenging for you to honor or pour into for yourself?

  • How can you find ways to increase this aspect in your life even in seemingly small ways?

Hopefully by answering these questions, you’ll be able to better understand the areas or themes that are especially prescient for you right now. Like most things, you may find that you share common interests with people in your circle about how to honor these aspects of your life. However, you may have a different style than some of the people in your circle too. This is about finding the ways that work for you because these will be things that resonate with you and your lifestyle and allow you to continue to practice them in your daily life.
I’ve included some items below that can help to support these themes of Grace, Gratitude, and Grit while we work to honor our systems this month. Please remember this is not a be all end all list in any way. This is just a small list to help inspire you to create a practice or system that is right for you.

Grace | Kindness

  • Using positive words to describe yourself to others and to yourself

  • Making space for rest and relaxation even if for only 15-20 minutes each day

  • Treating yourself the way you treat others

  • Watching a favorite movie or show that you love, just because.

  • Reading for pleasure

  • Listening to or playing music

  • Enjoying a creative project

  • Taking a nap or going to sleep early if you feel tired

  • Using the fancy dishes, table linens, or candles that you always save for someone special. (You’re someone special)

  • Make a meal or a special dessert that you really love just for the fun of it.

  • Ask for help when you need it and allow someone to help you when it’s offered.

  • Drink more water

  • Eat nutrient dense foods

  • Add broths, ferments, and other nourishing foods to your meal plan

  • Take vitamins and minerals

  • Learn a new skill or hobby that you’ve been wanting to try

  • Laugh out loud, for real, watch or listen to things that make you laugh

  • Play and have fun

Gratitude | Appreciation

  • Participate in a gratitude practice (in any way that resonates for you)

  • Get outside into nature to see and take in the beauty and changes that are happening all around you.

  • Walk or participate in gentle movement or exercise. Taking care of the body is a deep appreciation practice.

  • Practice something that you love and is intrinsically part
    of who you are

  • Tell someone in your life what they mean to you

  • Read through old letters or look through old pictures of people and places that have deeply impacted your life.

  • Ask someone you trust (or as many people as you feel guided to include) to share 3 aspects about you or 3 words to describe you to help you better understand and appreciate your impact on the people in your world.

  • Focus on increasing the aspects of your life that bring you joy, happiness, glee, and overall peace. (Only you know what these are and any increase in them in any amount counts as an increase.)

Grit | Determination

  • Focusing on one step at a time

  • Having a clear focus on what you’re working toward and continuing to make concerted effort toward that goal.

  • Reaching out for support from people in the area of your focus

  • Saying no to demands on your time and energy if it’s draining you or creating extra strain and stress.

  • Saying yes to positive opportunities and experiences.

  • Celebrating small and big wins

  • Saying yes to support and love from people in your inner circle and even from your outer circle

  • Knowing when to take a break and when to begin again.

  • Resting when you’re guided so you have the energy to cultivate momentum again when you’re ready.

  • Taking inventory of how far you’ve come as a reminder that everything you’ve been through in the past is proof that you’ve gotten to where you are today from determination and taking things one step at a time.

I hope this will inspire and support you as we move through this month, together. Remember, it’s not about how many things you’re doing, it’s about finding the ways that are right for you to honor and support you through this process. It may be 2 or 3 things that you know you’re being guided to do that make you feel great and add value and joy to your life right now. As you pour into any of these aspects, you will automatically support the other aspects as well, cultivating a positive experience for yourself and supporting you as you move through these themes, this month.

As always, I’m sending you love and support from my teeny tiny corner of the world straight to you!

If you’re celebrating Thanksgiving this month, I’m wishing you and yours a very Happy Thanksgiving.

With love and gratitude,
Kristy~xoxo

Comfort, Care, and Contentment

I hope this finds you well as we begin a brand new month and wind down the last few weeks of summer together, here in the Northern Hemisphere. It feels like last month was especially long, I’m not sure why but it feels like it has been a long time since we connected. I hope that your summer has been good to you and that you’ve enjoyed the long, warm, and slow days of the season. Every time we arrive at September, even though there are still a few weeks before we change seasons, there is a palpable shift that happens. Are you feeling it today, too? There’s almost a feeling of urgency or a sense that it’s time to get things prepared and ready for the change that’s coming. Maybe some of this is connected to the back to school energy happening, maybe some of it is connected to harvests being brought in, and maybe it’s because we can see and feel these small but significant shifts happening letting us know that Autumn is coming. There are some strong themes that we can benefit from at this time which can allow us to harness this energy to get things moving forward in our own lives. I’ve included a few for you below and hope they will offer you support, encouragement, and inspiration for your new month.

You may notice that you feel guided (or almost compelled) to organize, to take an inventory, and to streamline systems and spaces in your home or office. You may have noticed that you’ve been meaning to get around to this but it just didn’t happen during the summer but now all of a sudden you feel ready and want to dig into this project. This is a big part of this theme happening right now. If this is showing up for you, this is a powerful time to lean into that guidance you’re receiving. Because of back to school, you’ll find that there are lots of organizational supplies, systems, and items you may need readily available to you in most big box style stores and often at a reduced price point.

Lightening your load often goes hand in hand with organizing; maybe you feel good about the systems you have in place right now but feel the energy in your home is heavy or weighed down. Sometimes an easy and effective way to lighten the feeling in your home can be to go through closets or storage spaces to see if there are things that can be donated, recycled, or, released. Sometimes, things that we’re no longer using can take up a lot of physical and energetic space in our homes and releasing them can lighten the energy in your space exponentially. You may even notice that your space feels larger, has more breathing room, and physically feels lighter to you and the people living there. Often times, clearing out things that are no longer needed can increase calm, peace, and restfulness in the space as well.

Focusing on comfort and care is also a strong theme that’s showing up right now. You may find yourself thinking about creature comforts that you enjoy during the Autumn season. You may be thinking about the food you want to cook, or cozy clothes you’re looking forward to wearing, the crisp cool air outside, pulling out your favorite blanket, or watching your favorite fall themed movies or shows. (Hello, Gilmore Girls and Harry Potter.) This process of thinking about the things that feel like the new season to you, help you to move into that new season. This process also allows you to start creating a space that feels comforting and nurturing for you. As the days get shorter and the nights get longer, we often spend more time inside. Making your home a place that rises up to greet you while also helping you to feel safe and supported is one of the biggest themes showing up right now. Give yourself permission to have fun with this process. You don’t have to spend a lot of money doing this, in fact you don’t have to spend any money. As you’re going through your storage spaces, I think you’ll find treasures that you want to get out and enjoy for this new season.  If you think about it, organization and lightening your load are also ways to support comfort and care. I think this is one of the most magical aspects of this time of year. It seems like all of the themes coming through, while each with its own unique aspect and gifts are all working together to support us in moving into a season of comfort, care, and contentment.

While these themes are definitely prescient at this time, they seem especially timely for all of us as we see headlines and reports coming in over the last week or so about new regulations and restrictions similar to that of 2020. As a highly sensitive person, I want to encourage you to think about adding some things to your comfort or care systems that offer you ways to decompress from stress, tension, or feelings of overwhelm. You may already have these things in your home. As you’re working on organizing and shifting things around, you may feel guided to have some things you enjoy in arms reach of places you enjoy sitting so you can easily access them when you feel guided. There’s no one way or right way to do this, just the ways that feel right for you and your home. I’ve included a few things below that may be a fit for you, please use this as inspiration for your own list of comfort or care systems.

  • Coloring Books, Crayons, or Markers

  • Physical Books

  • Paint by Number Set

  • Yarn for Knitting, Crochet, or Macrame

  • Music, Playlists, or Musical Instruments

  • Sketchbook

Circling Back

Happy August! I hope this finds you well as move into the final full month of Summer here in the Northern Hemisphere. Does it feel like this season has been moving really quickly? It does to me; it feels like before we know it the season is going to be shifting and the summer will be behind us. I hope that your summer has been good to you so far and that you’re enjoying these long sunny days.

In addition to the feeling of the summer moving right along I’ve also noticed a strong theme showing up for me and for other people that I’ve been talking to, maybe you’re noticing it too. The theme of things circling back. Are you finding this theme showing up in your life right now, too? This theme is showing up in all different shapes and sizes. For some people, it may be things that they’ve expected, tasks, projects, or issues that have been shelved for whatever reasons. For others it may be things they haven’t thought about in a long time showing back up for an opportunity for a refresh or a reframe. This theme is also showing up in ways that can feel like a nudge that we may be trying to put off for another day or even telling ourselves that a particular area of our lives is behind us for whatever reasons. This circling back theme is showing up in all different forms and all different levels of intensity. Some of the ways it’s making itself known can feel really fun, exciting, and even very nostalgic while others can show up as opportunities for personal growth, healing, and letting go of things that are finished. Some of these themes contain all of these feelings, experiences, and opportunities all at once. No matter how this theme is showing up for you right now, allowing yourself to notice, honor, and to the best of your ability lean into it can be very supportive for you.

When themes show up in our lives, we’re being given an opportunity to focus our energy on that experience and allow it to support us as we move through the theme for as long as it’s with us. Sometimes this theme is an opportunity for us to get back to a part of ourselves that we’ve been separated from for whatever reason. It can help us to heal and to reconnect to an aspect of ourselves and our lives that we want to nurture and fold back into the fabric of our daily lives. Sometimes the theme helps us to achieve or move through a personal challenge or goal that we’ve been guided to pursue. Sometimes, we’re given an opportunity to fix, finish, or finalize some things we’ve been putting off which allows us to feel a sense of accomplishment, relief, and to enjoy the experience of finishing what was started. While other times the theme helps us to cement into our being that releasing and closing a chapter or making space for healthier and more peaceful people, places, and situations is the right choice.

Sometimes when themes show up, we know how to honor them, we feel called, compelled, or committed to taking action in concert with them. We use the nudge or repeating signs that we’re receiving to help us move through the experience. Other times we may feel confused or unsure why we’re receiving this opportunity to redo or rework through something we thought we were finished with for whatever reason. In this case, you can reach out for support from a trusted support person, or you can journal about it to try to get a better understanding of the situation. If you’re in a place where you aren’t sure if you’re understanding the theme that you’re experiencing, you’re not alone. In this situation, you can ask for clear signs that will help you to know which theme is showing up for you right now. There’s no “right way” to ask for this support, you can say it out loud, you can think it, you can write it in your journal, whatever feels right for you, is the “right” way. Then, you’ll start to notice signs in your life about your theme. You may start to see physical signs out in the world about your theme, you may overhear conversations that apply to your theme, you may find books or perhaps a dear friend will send you a book that supports your theme. Songs on the radio, movies, magazine articles, it will feel like all things are pointing to the same themes, and the theme is about helping you to know what you’re being called to circle back to in your life.

When you realize what your theme or themes are, you can begin to move through them in the ways that feel like a fit for you. Sometimes, we can move through these opportunities for growth by ourselves but most of the time, we need support from other people. Giving yourself permission to ask for help when you’re guided will help you move through these themes more gently. Telling people that you know and trust that you’re working on something that’s important to you and letting them know how they can support you can be very powerful for both of you. Sometimes, you may need someone to listen to what you’re experiencing. Maybe you’ll need help physically moving something or another set of eyes looking at what you’re working on to offer you suggestions, insight, or support. Sometimes, you may want to talk to a professional in the area of your theme. Any ways that you feel guided to reach out for support will be helpful for you as you move through your personal circling back experience.

When we take some time to honor, accept, and work through our themes to the best of our ability, we’re able to make space in our lives for healing, joy, and opportunities we may not have realized were available to us. We add more light into our lives by doing this work while lightening our load at the same time. I look forward to supporting you in any way that I can as you work through this time. You’re not alone, we’re all working through this circling back process together.

As always, I’m sending you love and support from my teeny tiny corner of the world straight to you!

With love and gratitude,

Kristy~xoxo

Cool, Calm, and Collected

Hello, I hope this finds you well as we move into May.

One of the biggest themes that has been coming through lately has been about finding ways to reduce stress and increase calm and gentility. Have you been noticing this theme showing up in your day to day life too? If so, you’re not alone; you’re not imagining it, and it’s not just you. This is a theme that I’m finding across the board for people, even people who traditionally have been able to consistently manage their stress levels. Stress has in many ways become a buzz word in our modern culture and can sometimes be used as a catch all for many life scenarios that we may be experiencing. However, that being said, I am finding this increase in stress to be a prescient theme right now and wanted to share some ways that you can reduce your stress as we move through this theme together.

As a highly sensitive person, sometimes an increase in stress, tension, or feelings of overwhelm can feel magnified. When you use techniques to support an increase of calm and comfort as a highly sensitive person, you can experience those results more quickly and on a deep or palpable level. As you integrate practices that you enjoy on a consistent basis, you’ll find that you’re more easily able to move through times of increased stress while also maintaining a level of peace, happiness, and calm. You’ll also notice that you feel more like yourself and that you’re able to find and maintain your balance. Does that mean that you won’t have some days that are tough? No, however it will allow you to move through those bumpy days a little bit easier while also increasing your good days.

One of the biggest things to remember here is that there is no one way or right way to do this work. There are only the ways that are right for you and those may change from day to day. Choosing to try a few things that you feel attracted to naturally will be a great place to start so you can find the ways or methods that work best for you. Finding what works best for you is the “right way” for you. Again, you can choose to change things up at any time you choose based on your needs and situation.

Please know this is not a be all end all list, think of this as inspiration and please add to this list with activities that work well for you. If there’s things on this list that are a fit for you great, give them a try and see how you feel. If there are things that aren’t a fit, great, let those go. Please feel free to combine techniques and make them your own. This is meant to be a support system for you so you get to decide how to work with the suggestions below so they best honor you and your life.

  • Sleep
Quality sleep is important for our overall health and well being. Making time for sleep is imperative especially when you’re experiencing increased stress. If you’re having sleep disturbances, check to make sure you aren’t being exposed to blue light before and during your sleep. Even if you enjoy falling asleep with your device on, it will prevent you from experiencing REM sleep and can interfere with serotonin and melatonin which we need. If you aren’t getting enough sleep at night, you may be guided to nap during the day, and even 30 minutes can make a positive impact. Going to sleep earlier, creating a relaxing space for sleep, and removing technology from your sleeping space can support you in experiencing quality sleep.

  • Movement
Any movement that you enjoy will allow your body to decompress from the stress that may be holding space within you. Going for a walk, riding your bike, going for a swim or any kind of movement you enjoy will help you reduce and manage your stress levels. Movement also helps your body get into a moving meditation which allows you to receive secondary benefits at the same time.

  • Sunshine
Getting outside into the sunshine even if you have to bundle up is very important. In addition to vitamin D, full spectrum sunlight helps to produce and regulate melatonin and serotonin which we need. Sunshine also helps us to increase energy, just think about the solar panels supporting the grid. We benefit from solar power too. You don’t need to overexpose yourself to the sun to receive its benefits.

  • Gentle Foods and Beverages
As the weather begins to warm up you may notice your body naturally gravitating toward lighter foods like salads, soups, smoothies, and juices just to name a few. When we’re experiencing stress, it can be easy to reach for things that can actually make us feel worse like processed foods and snacks. The more you can fuel your body with gentle foods and beverages, the easier it will be for your body to maintain a strong immune system which is taxed when exposed to prolonged stress.

  • Hydration
You may notice that stress impacts your hydration. If you notice you’re feeling parched, you may want to increase your water intake to help your body stay hydrated. There is no need to increase your hydration to the point of rinsing out your electrolytes. Just pay attention to your body so you find the right amount of water for you each day. If your lips are chapped, your scalp, sinuses, and skin are dry, and/or you feel thirsty, increase your water.

  • Music
Listening to music can uplift and shift your mood and energy quickly. Listening to music in the background rather than tv or streaming services can help you to feel better while also uplifting the energy in your home while positively impacting the people in your home too. If you are a musician, playing and practicing your instrument/s will support you and your home in multiple ways.

  • Creativity
Participating in any creative outlet that you enjoy will help you to reduce your stress levels while also nurturing your love and enjoyment for the activity. Creativity also sparks inspiration and moves you into a moving meditation which are powerful secondary benefits. You will also have something to show for your time and you will notice that you feel more relaxed and at ease during and after your creative experience. You don’t have to spend a lot of time investing in creativity to receive the benefits. You may want take a little time to place your tools, projects, or accoutrements into an easily accessible place.

  • Meditation
Any kind of meditation will support you in reducing stress and increasing calm, clarity, focus, and gentility. Whether you prefer guided meditation, traditional styles of meditation and mindfulness, or moving meditation, you will receive benefits from that practice. If you aren’t sure where to start when it comes to mediation and mindfulness, I recommend guided meditation. You can find free guided meditations on YouTube or you can use things like the calm app. There are a lot of free resources out there for you and you’ll find the right method once you get started.

  • Reading Physical Books
Physical books will give you a break from screen time and allow you to slow down while also experiencing the tactile quality that comes with reading an actual book. You will also notice your nervous system begin to relax while you enjoy your book.

  • Increasing Quiet Time
Allowing yourself to be in a quiet state allows your body and mind to rest while simultaneously calming your nervous system. It can also allow issues or themes sitting under the surface to come up so they can clear. In a world of overstimulation this simple act of quiet time is powerful.

  • Cleaning Out Clutter/Cleaning Your Home
Whether it’s cleaning out your closet, cleaning your floors, or getting to that shred pile; you will feel a lightening of your physical and mental state by attending to your physical space. Stuff out of place has an impact on our environment and our health. If you need help with this, please consider reaching out for help. If you live with other people, ask for their help so you aren’t trying to do everything all by yourself. A peaceful home supports a peaceful life.

  • Avoiding Challenging or Upsetting News Stories
It’s important to be informed and aware of what’s happening, however being inundated with bad news and negativity isn’t helpful or necessary. Reducing your exposure to upsetting news stories and social media feeds that make you feel drained or upset is important. Set aside a predetermined amount of time for information and then turn it off and move onto something else.

  • Avoiding or Reducing Challenging or Upsetting People/Dynamics
To the best of your ability, saying no to people and dynamics which are upsetting, hurtful, and draining for you is important. It’s important to guard your time and energy from those who aren’t helpful or supportive for you. It’s okay and often necessary to say no to people and situations that make you feel worse after engaging. Saying no to the best of your ability allows you to say yes to taking good care of yourself and your quality of life.

As you read through this list, you’ll notice that some of the categories can be grouped together for win wins; and in some cases: win, win, win. Yes, those groupings are a great way in increase your calm, comfort, and gentility all at once and yes, they count. For example, if you feel guided to read a physical book, you’ll be simultaneously reducing screen time, and increasing quiet time too. Please give yourself permission to enjoy the combinations that speak to you and make them your own. You don’t have to spend a lot of time doing these things, a little bit goes a long way in supporting your overall stress levels and well being. Carving out 10 minutes a day will have a significant impact on your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well being. Some days you may be able to do more than 10 minutes which is wonderful but start with 10 and notice how you feel. Some of the activities like clearing out clutter or cleaning may take more than 10 minutes but their impact on you and the people who live in your home will be significant and well worth your time and effort.

I hope this will inspire you to know that you’re not alone and you can make simple but significant shifts in your daily life to support you in feeling more peaceful, grounded, and like your true self. I know you can do it, and every step counts. I’m joining you in this process as we move through these intense times together.

If you feel guided to work with me, I’m here for you.
As always, I’m sending you love and support from my teeny tiny corner of the world, right to you.

With love and gratitude,
Kristy~xoxo

Here Comes the Sun

Hello, I hope this finds you well as we welcome April!

It’s finally Spring here in the Northern Hemisphere and even though there’s a lot of cold weather still happening for so many, the promise of warmer weather, sunshine, and new beginnings are here. I’m writing to you today from my home where it’s raining and cold but my tulips and violas are coming up and bringing with them a lot of joy, at least they’re bringing a lot of joy to me anyway. I think this is such a perfect analogy for this month and this time of the year. Even if things feel like they’re not shifting or maybe it feels like they aren’t shifting fast enough; when you take a look around you, you’ll see signs and messages letting you know that the shift is happening.

The beginning of Spring brings more light and length to our days and we find little markers here are there letting us know that the new season is upon us. You may notice that you’re beginning to have more energy, or that you’re feeling guided to get going on things that you’ve been meaning to do, or that you feel inspired to start something brand new. This is also a great time to dig into home projects whether inside or outside. You may feel that there’s almost an alarm clock ringing for you imploring you to begin some Spring cleaning. You may find yourself watching organization videos, or looking at home inspo photos to see what you’d like to incorporate into your own space. Maybe you’re feeling guided to start a garden this year, even if it’s a small potted garden on your patio. Maybe you’re being guided to increase your movement and you feel excited to try a new practice or go back to something you’ve previously enjoyed. All of these stirrings that happen at this time help us to re-set our homes and simultaneously help us to re-set our wellbeing. This is also a great time to re-set our goals or intentions for the year.

Moving into the beginning of Spring allows us to move with the energy in a really beautiful way. If you think of Winter as a season of being indoors and a time of rest, you can think of this first part of Spring as a time where we’re being guided to make shifts but also to take breaks. We may have days where we feel really inspired and energized and other days where we feel guided to rest and take it easy. We see this reflected in the seasonal changes too, rainy days and sunshine: cold days and warmer days. It’s like we’re being given this beautiful opportunity to move into this new season with built in structures for balance. Due to our modern lives and the demands that we’re all managing each day, it’s so nice to have an opportunity to practice balance as we start this new season.

Today, on this first day of April, I invite you to spend a little time tuning into the stirrings that you’re feeling or noticing within yourself right now. Are you being called to anything new? Do you feel guided to return to something that has been shelved for a better time, perhaps now? Do you notice or see any solutions to help you streamline any areas of your life? Do you know that it’s time to clear away some things, issues, or situations that are ready to be released? Are there things you want to bring into your life right now? Perhaps you’re longing for more joy, fun, and opportunities to spend time with people you love. Your answers to these important questions are your personal messages about how to move through this time and the beginning of this new season. You may share some similar experiences with other people in your circle which is fantastic because you can support each other during this time. You may also have some aspects that are just yours and that’s okay too. The messages, stirrings, and divine guidance that you’re receiving right now creates the personalized recipe for your needs. The more you can pay attention to the stirrings of your soul the more you’ll be able to nurture and cultivate the aspects of this season that are blossoming for you.

My wish for you this month is that you will allow yourself to honor the messages and wisdom you’re receiving while also enjoying this new season and the new opportunities it brings.

I’m sending you love and support from my teeny tiny corner of the world right to you!

With love and gratitude,
Kristy~ xoxo

February, Tapping Into the Magic

Hello, I hope this finds you well as we welcome February and a brand-new energy.
This is one of my favorite times of the year because even though it’s still technically winter in the Northern Hemisphere, signs of new life and new energy begin to make themselves known every day. You may already feel the palpable energy that is happening all around you and within you too. As the days continue to get longer and the bulbs begin to bloom, you may notice that you have a renewed energy, inspiration, and excitement about your life. This increase in momentum, joy, or energy is mirrored back to us by Mother Nature as we all collectively move toward the quickening and into Spring.

This month is like magic because while it’s the shortest month of the year it provides us so much change in such a small amount of time. Each day of this little month will increasingly offer us more of this renewed energy and spirit as we move though this last part of the winter season. You can tap into this energy and February magic simply by allowing yourself to notice and enjoy this shift that is happening right now within and around you. There is no one way or right way to enjoy or work with this energy, it’s just about finding the ways that resonate for you.

This month is also noted for its themes around love, friendship, and kindness. I think these two seemingly different themes work beautifully together. You see, as you naturally lean into this energy of forward motion, you’ll automatically be connecting to this February magic. As you take good care of yourself, you’ll also be loving and honoring yourself too. As we take good care of ourselves, we have more energy which allows us to take good care of the people in our lives that we love, too.

I encourage you to have fun tapping into this new energy this month, even for a few minutes each day and see how it makes you feel. Maybe you’ll feel guided to begin this new month with a few goals in mind and invest a little bit of time each day to working on them. Maybe this month you’ll feel guided to do something kind or thoughtful for someone you know, even if that means sending them a note letting them know you’re thinking about them. Maybe you’ll feel guided to make time for a quiet cup of tea each day and a little self-reflection. Maybe you enjoy looking for signs of the quickening like I do and make an effort to look for the subtle but real signs that things are waking up all around us each day. I like to go for walks even if I have to bundle up and look for new bulbs, birds, and grasses showing up in places they weren’t only a few days before. This month always feels like it’s holding onto a little secret somehow and it’s filled with gifts for each of us in infinite ways as long as we allow ourselves the chance to see and receive them.

If I had to choose a theme for this month, I would choose, expect miracles. It may seem like a big theme for such a little month, however miracles happen every day. This is a month that can breathe new life into the places and spaces which may have felt stagnant for you; allowing for shifts and changes that you can see and experience. My wish for you is that you’ll allow yourself to open up to all of the gifts that are available to you during this magical month of February. I hope you’ll enjoy every single day of the teeniest month of the new year. If you feel guided to share how you’re tapping into this energy, I would love to hear from you!

I’m sending you so much love and support from my teeny tiny corner of the world straight to you!
All my love and gratitude,
Kristy~ xoxo

Moving Gently into the New Year

Hello, I hope this finds you well and enjoying the beginning of your new year.
Sometimes when we move into January there’s a feeling that we need to push into the new year quickly or jump into a lot of projects, tasks, or check things off of our to do list. Taking a little time to prioritize what you may be guided to work on or work toward this year is a wonderful way to set some intentions for your new year. However, there is also a deep holiday let down that happens at the beginning of the year which asks us to slow down a little bit so we can reset before we jump into all the things we have planned. If you’re feeling a combination of these extremes, you’re not alone. It’s natural to feel your body and your mind wanting to take a little down time to rest and restore. This call to move gently into the new year isn’t a reflection on your ability to make progress on your goals or intentions for your new year. You’re just connecting to your natural body rhythm and inner guidance about what you need right now. It’s okay to move gently, it’s okay to take it slow, and it’s okay to give yourself some grace as you move through the first month of this new year.

Many highly sensitive people, (like yourself) are noticing that they need more sleep than usual right now. (Maybe you’re noticing this too.) You may find you’re being guided to go to sleep a little bit earlier than usual and maybe even guided to rest or nap even if you aren’t traditionally a napper. Trying to honor your own needs to the best of your ability right now will help you to more easily move into a place of readiness when your energy stores are nice and full again. You’ll naturally find your energy begin to increase along with your desire to begin working on your intentions for your new year. There is no rush and no need to push yourself outside of your own limits, just take this time to honor your own inner knowingness about what is right for you right now. If you’ve been experiencing some unexpected forced rest like me, I hope that you’ll be feeling better very soon.

There are a lot of things happening right now including big energy shifts, intense weather, and what seems like big news stories nearly every day. Sometimes these situations even simply reading about them can impact sensitive people in similar ways to those who experience full moon symptoms. If you are noticing any of these symptoms, you may want to increase your hydration, increase your rest (to the best of your ability), try to treat yourself with tender care and listen to your body. You may feel guided to increase some of your favorite tools such as essential oils, listening to gentle music or an audio book, meditation, gentle movement, soft and comfortable clothing, and gentle foods and beverages. Even seemingly small acts of self care can make a big difference in helping with the big energy shifts happening.

However this new year has started for you, I hope that you are being gentle with yourself and allowing yourself some breathing room to go at your own pace. Taking time for rest is still doing something productive and it’s an important part of our overall health and wellness.

I’m sending you so much love and support from my teeny corner of the world right to you!

With love and gratitude,
Kristy~xoxo

Simple Self Care in Cold Weather

I hope this finds you well as we move deeper into the holiday season and closer to the first official day of Winter here in the Northern Hemisphere. There has been a lot of cold weather happening for so many people that it almost feels like Jack Frost has come early this year. If you’re anything like me, it may be a bit of an adjustment getting used to the cold weather and dreary days. I’ve included some of my favorite self care tips for cold weather below and I hope they will give you some comfort and support during this chilly season.
One of the biggest challenges that I have when I’m cold is remembering to drink water. I know, it seems so simple especially with every shape of water bottle available on the market but when it gets cold, I tend to forget to drink enough water. Staying hydrated is equally important when it’s cold as when it’s hot outside so here are a few ways that can help you increase hydration if you tend to forget to drink your water when you’re cold too.

  • Set up a room temperature water station in your kitchen so you can see it when you walk by and the water won’t feel too cold to drink.

  • Opt for drinking a hot water with lemon or orange instead of cold water. You’ll still be drinking water but it will really warm you up at the same time.

  • If you tend to drink coffee throughout the day to stay warm, try switching to herbal tea in the afternoon and evening. You’ll be drinking water and it will warm you up without dehydrating you.

  • Keep your humidifiers running (if you have them) so that your skin, scalp, and sinuses stay hydrated. The air in our homes can tend to get very dry when heaters or fire places are being used which can dehydrate and dry out our skin and systems.

  • Make a simmer pot on your stove to add hydration to you and your home while also adding some lovely scents at the same time. This option is for when you’re going to be home the whole time your simmer pot is being used. Fill a stockpot with water, add some of your favorite spices like cinnamon, clove, allspice, fresh rosemary, apple, lemon, and or orange slices and bring your pot to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer and allow your simmer pot to fill your home with holiday aromas. Remove from heat when water is about ½ inch deep so you don’t scorch your stock pot.

  • Use your Netti Pot to keep your sinuses hydrated and clear. You can find these nasal cleansing pots at most health food stores or online. They are a big help especially if you experience sensitivity or challenges with your sinuses.

  • Allow your bathroom to get steamy when you take a bath or a shower, this will help your skin to breathe and open up. This will help you to breathe deeper and will allow your body oils, creams, and lotions to absorb more easily as well. (You may want to have some water in the bathroom in case you feel thirsty during your steam.) You can also hang a bunch of eucalyptus branches in your shower to help support your deep breathing.

If you find that as a highly sensitive person you experience symptoms of seasonal affective disorder during the cold season, you’re not alone. There are a lot of wonderful products and support systems available now. Here are a few things that I’ve found to be helpful, and I hope they will offer you some support too. Please remember you can reach out to a professional support person as well if you find your symptoms to be presistent.

  • Getting outside into full spectrum lighting when it’s possible for at least 10 minutes. Even if you have to get bundled up and stand in the one spot that has sunlight in your back yard, go for it. Even a little bit of sunlight can reduce symptoms significantly.

  • If you aren’t able to get into full spectrum lighting, you may want to consider purchasing a light box for extra support. The Happy Light (I am not affiliated with them in any way professionally) is a great option and they are really small now and you can set it up anywhere to get some extra light. You can find them online and the prices have come down a lot over the years. I find this extra light to be very helpful during this time of year.

  • Skin sensitivity can be an issue during this season, some highly sensitive people experience painful face swelling. You can gently massage your face and neck to help reduce swelling and discomfort. You can find images of the face map online which shows how to gently massage your face to help clear fluid and inflammation. You may also want to try using a Gua Sha stone or a Jade Roller to help soothe your skin.

  • If you experience body skin sensitivity, you may want to try Dry Brushing which can help with circulation, and movement of your lymph system. You can find body map images and videos online to help you understand how to use the Dry Brush to help reduce symptoms you may be experiencing.

  • Increasing your core body temperature is really important and many sensitive people have a tough time warming up and staying warm even if they are wearing layers and drinking warm drinks. Movement is the best way to get your core body temperature up and help you to stay warm even after you’re no longer moving. If you can get outside for a walk, you can bank some full spectrum light, get your circulation flowing, increase your oxygen levels, and maybe even work up a little sweat. All wins! If you can’t get outside, that’s okay, even doing a light exercise or stretching routine will help you increase your circulation, oxygen levels, and increase your core body temperature. If you have a treadmill, bike trainer, a yoga mat, or some light weights, give yourself permission to use them because it will help you to warm up and you will also benefit from endorphins from moving your body.

  • Insomnia issues can sometimes occur from being too cold throughout the night. If you have trouble falling asleep or staying asleep because you’re too cold even with extra blankets, socks, and flannel pajamas, you’re not alone. Your feet may be too cold (even with socks) which could be keeping you from warming up and sleeping through the night. If you have an electric blanket, you may want to get it out and see if that helps improve your quality of sleep. I highly recommend using a hot water bottle…yes, seriously, yes, the ones from old back and white movies. Okay, I know what you’re thinking but they are still available and in recent years I’ve seen them in a lot of stores with a variety of cozy covers in nearly ever fabric you can imagine. They really do work and they stay hot throughout the night so your feet will stay warm and you can have deeper, and higher quality sleep. They only trick with them is to double check that the top is screwed in all the way before placing it at the bottom of your bed. I recommend placing it in your bed 45 minutes to an hour before you’re ready to sleep but any time is great. You can find them online and in lots of home style stores too.

  • Bring plants inside your home to help increase oxygen and absorb carbon dioxide. We tend to spend a lot of time indoors when it’s cold outside and the air in our homes can get stale and stagnant. Bringing large leafed plants into the home can help to clear the air while also adding color and the beauty of nature. Color therapy with plants and flowers can help to add life to your home and the color can be very uplifting and supportive in more ways than one.

  • If you use diffusers to uplift your mood, the energy in your home, or to create a cozy environment, you may want to try diffusing citrus oils. Orange, Lemon, Grapefruit, and Lime are very bright and uplifting scents and can make a positive impact on you and your home. As you make filling your diffusers in the morning a regular practice, it will become natural for you and you’ll probably find that you enjoy using your diffusers regularly.

  • Say yes to cozy. This is probably my biggest tip for this season. Leaning into soft fabrics, gentle and warming foods and beverages, soft lighting, warm slippers, and winding down from the day when you feel guided even if it’s earlier than you would normally begin your wind down process. Honoring your body and rhythms to the best of your ability can help you more easily move through this season while also enjoying it too.

I hope these self care tips will be helpful and inspire you to cultivate your own personal self care practice this season. I’d love to hear what’s working for you! I hope you are enjoying a very happy holiday season.

I’m sending you so much love and support from my teeny corner of the world, right to you.
With deepest love and gratitude,
Kristy~ xoxo

Winding Down Within

Happy December, I hope this finds you well as we begin the final month of the year.

While I was thinking about this month and how it holds so much within it whether it’s holiday traditions, travel, time with loved ones, reflecting on the year, or preparing for the new year I was reminded how much polarity is held within December. There are so many things happening outwardly around us while we’re also being guided to slow down, to rest, and to enjoy the aspects of the season that speak to our souls. You may be feeling this experience already even though we’re at the very beginning of the month. If some of these things are already on your mind, that’s okay. This is a great time to take a few minutes to tune into your guidance about how you want to move through this time and this season.

You may have some special things on your list for this month that bring you joy, feel uplifting, and are restorative for you. Events, activities, and practices that resonate for you and that make you feel connected to this season; activities that are a definite yes for you. Your “definite yes” activities are wonderful and a powerful way to know which aspects of the season are calling to you this year. Sometimes, with so many invitations and activities, the things that can sometimes get set aside are the aspects of the season that involve quietly or gently nurturing ourselves. The cultivation of our inside care and comfort is as equally important as the other aspects of the season but often overlooked for a variety of reasons. When this happens, we can feel like we missed out on some of the joy or magic of the season because we weren’t able to fully experience it and take it in the way we hoped.

Something that can help is to think about ways you can honor your vision for the season and the things that are on your list while also taking good care of yourself; this can help create balance and a support system for you. I’ve included some exercises for you below to help you find the theme and aspects that are resonating for you this season. Please remember there are no wrong answers here and you can come back to this at any time you feel guided. This is just a way to connect to some ideas, inspiration, and guidance from your higher self about aspects of the season that are showing up for you this year.

Okay, let’s start with a deep breath, in through your nose and out through your mouth. Good, releasing any tension or stress in your neck, shoulders, or tummy, and one more breathe in and out. Good.

  • My Favorite thing about December is ___________________.

  • I look forward to ________________ all year because it makes it feel like the holiday season to me.

  • One of my favorite ways to comfort myself is to ______________________.

  • It wouldn’t feel like the holiday season to me without ___________________.

  • My favorite quiet activity to do during this season is ______________ because _______________.

  • The most meaningful aspects of this season to me include:_____________________________.

  • This month makes me feel_____________________________.

  • My favorite restorative practice right now includes_____________________________.

  • If I were to create a new tradition for the season this year, I would choose ___________ because _______.

  • I feel grateful for _______________ this year.

  • I am healing and continuing to work through ________________ this year.

  • I’m consistently caring for myself by______________ and I notice the impact it’s making because ______________.

  • If I could add one activity to my season this year it would be___________________.

  • A tradition I still honor each season is ______________ and it makes me feel ______________ because______________.

  • I feel like I need more Joy, Happiness, Love, Peace, Grace, or ______________ this season.

  • If I could let go of one invitation or activity this season, I would choose ______________ because____________.

  • I feel like I need more Gentility, Comfort, Understanding, Support, Rest, or ____________ this season.

  • My must watch movie for this month is __________________.

  • I feel called to spend time investing in ___________ this month.

  • If I could choose a theme for this season, I would choose______________.

  • My soul longs for _______________ this season.

  • I can honor my soul and theme for this season by __________________.

Great job! I hope this helped you to find some strong themes, insights, and inspiration into ways that you can honor yourself and your holiday season this year. Please remember that seemingly small shifts lead to big success. Investing in one or two aspects of the things that are meaningful for you this season can make you feel more connected, present, and joyful during this time. You don’t have to do everything all by yourself and it’s okay to slow down a little bit as you enjoy December in the ways that are right for you and yours.

I’m wishing you and your loved ones a beautiful holiday season and a very happy new year!
If you feel guided to work with me this month, I’m here and available to support you.

I’m sending you so much love and support from my teeny tiny corner of the world right to you!
With love and gratitude,

Schools Out for Summer: Tapping into the Magic of the Season

Hello, I hope this finds you well as we welcome July.

It feels like it’s been so long since we last connected, I don’t know about you but June felt like a really long month this year. We’ve officially arrived to summer here in the Northern hemisphere even though it’s been pretty hot in my little corner of the world for a while now.

When I think about summer I often think about summers as a child and how exciting it was to have time off school, long summer nights, and lots of fun with friends and family. As a grown up, summer can sometimes feel a bit different with most of us working during this time and maybe some extra responsibilities too especially if you have little ones at home. I was thinking about ways to keep that whimsical summer energy woven into the season even with the responsibilities of being an adult. While there are lots of ways to do this, I was thinking that it could be helpful to think about a few of the seemingly simple stand out memories or favorites that you hold dear. You may be able to find a common theme for yourself when you do this. You may find there’s favorite foods you enjoy making because they represent summer to you. Maybe you like to do certain activities like making smores in the back yard because you have fond memories of doing that as a child. Maybe you really look forward to setting up an outdoor movie night with popcorn and other favorite snacks. Maybe for you it’s all about the swimming or maybe you’re already creating piles of summer reading books. The options are endless, it really just matters what stands out to you when you personally think about the energy of summer.

Taking a little time to find the theme or themes that are a fit for you can help you to bring that experience into your summer this year. You don’t need to pack every day with activities or spend lots of time away to enjoy the experience of summer. By choosing your theme and setting the intention to bring your personal brand of summer into your season this year, you will find that it allows you to open the door to the things that feel like summer for you. It can also add a little excitement, whimsy, and magic to your season too. You may find it helps you to tap into that childlike joy you had when you thought about an entire season of time off from school to play and have fun.

Here are a few questions you can ask yourself to help you find a theme that feels like a fit for you this summer. You may want to write down your answers if you feel guided and you can come back to the exercise at any time you choose. There are no wrong answers, so you can just relax and have fun with this process.

Take a couple of deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth. Good, letting go of any tension, tightness, or stress that you may feel holding space inside your body. Go ahead and take another breath, and let go of any to do lists, or other things that may be holding space around you; knowing that you can go back to them when you’re finished.

  • When I think about my 3 favorite summers; these are the summers that come to mind:_____________________________________________________________

  • Why do these summers stand out as favorites for me? __________________________________

  • How did these experiences make me feel? ___________________________________________

  • Were there similar aspects to these summers or are they special because they are each unique? ___________________________________________________________________________

  • Who was with me during these favorite summers? ______________________________________

  • What kinds of activities did I do?_______________________________________________________

  • What were some stand out moments or aspects that felt special to me? ______________________________________________________________________________

  • How would I describe these experiences of my favorite summers? ____________________________

  • What aspects or themes stand out when I look back over those summers? ______________________________________________________________________________

  • If I had to choose 3 words to describe my favorite summers, what would they be? ______________________________________________________________________________

  • How do these words make me feel? ____________________________________________________

  • How can I incorporate these words or themes into my summer season this year? __________________________________________________________________________

  • When I think about using these themes as an intention for this summer, I feel______________________________________________________.

  • My personal theme for the summer of 2022, is the season of _____________________________________.

Great job, now you can take a moment to just sit with any emotions and memories that you’re experiencing around this or you can continue to write down any ideas or inspiration this created for you; whatever feels right for you.

I hope this will help to bring a little spark of excitement, joy, and even some childlike wonder to your new season this year. In any ways that feel like a fit for you I hope that you will enjoy celebrating the themes and aspects of the season that resonate for you and yours this summer.

I look forward to participating in some of my favorite summer activities too; things like riding bikes, early morning hikes, making popsicles, more canning, swimming, and yes, getting through some of my piles of summer reading books. I would love to hear about your personal theme for the season if you feel guided to share it with me. I’m wishing you a wonderful summer!

I’m sending you lots of love and support from my teeny tiny corner of the world right to you!

With love and gratitude,
Kristy~xoxo
